Sleeved 9/20. I'm feeling great for the most part. Still have some tenderness at the incision sites. Sneezes hurt. Get faint when I don't get in enough Protein. Going back to work tomorrow. Nervous about managing all my Vitamins, Proteins and just being ready. Not everyone knows about the surgery. I've lost almost 20 pounds since sugery and several inches. Lost 40 pounds pre-op. My biggest concern though is self sabotage. I ate a small brownie today. How is that even possible? I'm in the puree stage. My stomach shouldnt even be able to handle it. Not that that is an excuse. I screwed up. I worked so hard to get to this point and then I ate a brownie. Anyway, I'm glad I found this thread. It's good to have a place to share. Good luck everyone.

I feel the same way I made some enchiladas Sunday and the smell of them I had to have a bite and I did but didn't swallow I spit it out into a napkin (sorry I know gross) but I felt a relieve from the craving maybe it's wrong still but it helped me. The struggle is real!!! [emoji849]

Was sleeved on 9/14. Day four post op here and I am starving. Can drink with no problems, loving the Premier Protein waters. I have had broth and yogurt today. Averaging about 250 calories a day. I am just praying this feeling of hunger goes away! Not much pain at all, but the roof of my mouth has been sore every since coming home from the hospital. Anyone use sugar free candy to help with hunger?

I ordered this with my bimonthly shipment of Vitamins and I am excited about them. A bit concerned that each bag has three servings, but I'll deal. Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to get the garlic ones but they were sold out, so I got the mesquite ones.

To satisfy that salty and crunchy craving, I sometimes turn to Trader Joe's Oven-Baked cheese Crisps. There are no carbs and 15g of Protein per serving! An amazing option. I take them to the movies as a popcorn replacement.

    Good luck!

I cook a bunch of Protein at once and generally have 2-4 choices in my fridge (chicken thighs, roast chicken, fish, seasoned ground turkey...) I also cook up batches of vegetables. At mealtime I mix and match based on my appetite or what gets me good variety. When eating out I choose a salad with protein, no dressing. My treats are plain yogurt with chopped apple, or a bowl of berries. Some nuts and seeds. Lots of different herbs and spices. cheese in moderation.

It's been quite some time since I was active on the boards. My new job has me working extra hours so there never seems to be enough time.
I am 7 months post op at 125lbs down. I am 259 (sw 385). Peter (my husband) is 3 months post op and 80lbs down. I am the lowest I have weighed in over a decade.
But that is not the record I am talking about... Today I walked 21665 steps or 9.88 miles. My fitbit recorded 120 min of activity. I've gone from an average of 2500 steps a day to an average of 10000.
Peter and I pick walking as an activity (like hiking along the local levy) rather than being lazy (like circling a store parking 3 times to find a closer spot to park).
I know this is quite self congratulatory but I am so happy with the changes in my life and excited to share them.

If I wasn't already excited enough to start my journey, my mom just gave me a bag of motivation. Sorting these adorable "skinny clothes" is so exciting because I know I'll be able to wear them later in my journey. Silly maybe but I'm all

Since WLS surgery? Nothing. Not even the (relatively mild) gall bladder attack or GB surgery / recovery 4 weeks post-WLS.
But pre-op -- it was WAITING FOR THE DAMN SURGERY TO FINALLY FREAKIN' HAPPEN!
My surgeon was so backed up with huge demand. So jumping through all the pre-op hoops took a long time. It made me so crazy that I finally put myself on a diet and lost 11 pounds prior to the liver-shrinking diet.
Pre-op, I also practiced all the post-op eating behaviors -- eating slower, chewing lots more, not drinking with meals, drinking 64 ounces of Water daily, walking more (bought a Fitbit and got up and moved), took Vitamins, started tracking all my food on My Fitness Pal, etc.
I was like a kid who wore a Batman cape everywhere because he thinks he's Batman.
So when I hear about pre-op patients who are having a month of last suppers and whining about the liver-shrinking diet and worrying about losing their hair somewhere down the road and drama-llamaing about potential loose skin and not being able to close down the bars every weekend and other s**t like that, I just shake my head.
Don't they know how wonderful this surgery is going to be for them and that it will be worth any inconveniences and lifestyle changes required of them?
    Again -- shaking my head.
(I may have had too much coffee this morning.)
