calpauly got a reaction from Simplyrosie in April sleevers!?
I got sleeved on the 13th. My goal is to get off of my CPAP by the end of the year. My BMI was 37 at surgery and if I can get it into the mid twenties and sleep peacefully and wake up rested, it will have been worth it. The monotony of the Liquid Protein diet 7 days post-op is a drag but the weight is coming off and the possibility of life without my CPAP machine is great motivation. Wish me luck and best of luck to everyone here!

This is one of my main goals as well. I hate wearing my CPAP. I'm hoping I'm one of the cases that can go off of it once I hit a healthy BMI, but I don't know. My surgery is on Monday morning, so I'll see you on the loser's bench very soon. Good luck on your recovery and I hope you can get off your machine even months before the year is over.

It will get better, I felt exactly as you did starting out. I thought I would never feel normal again. I worried my monthly dinners with my girlfriends would never be the same, date night with my hubby or birthday parties with my kids. But it does get better.
I was sleeved 12/30 and at almost 4 months out eat a regular diet, in moderation. For Easter I had grilled kielbasa, brussel sprouts, apple sauce and a little homemade mac and cheese. I went with Protein first and added a small taste of the other options.

Hey,
I'm 6 days post op and I came here to kind of find someone that is hurting in a sense as much as me.
It's easter, my family is very large and we have had dinners and lunches to attend all weekend (today is day 3 of 4). Today i lost it, I left my Mums with my water bottle underarm and as soon as I drove away i burst into tears.
I aswel in no way regret doing this, and i knew it would be hard but I never ever realised how much food plays a part in everybody's lives.
In saying this, I got home and began writing down in my journal about my day. And I found myself flicking back to day 2 and 3 and 4 and this reminded me that everyday has been hard but everyday everything has felt better and just to remember that I did this to improve my quality of life and in time i will learn how to cope in these situations.
We got this 💪
