  1. Bad back don't do squats. Though back is doing better since weight loss surgery might have to give them a try. I don't have a lifting partner so kind of hate to do them if I don't have someone to help me with my form. I haven't benched either as I don't have a spotter and grabbing someone off the floor to spot me is frustrating nobody knows how to spot correctly. I miss benching.

    Surgery and period ugggh

My period started the day of the surgery. I was allowed to use tampons. It was a miserable experience though as I get really bad cramps. So that on top of the pain from the surgery was bad. Those first few days I wasn't sure I had made the correct decision. Now at 6 months out I know it was the best thing I ever did.

Can't find any exercise I like!

Maybe you would like water aerobics since you like to swim.
  4. Until 2013 I competed in powerlifting. I am now back at the gym doing 30 minutes of weights and 1 hour of cardio 4xs per week. I am 6 months post op. I'm not sure I want to go back to powerlifting but I see the difference in the mirror. Ive definitely got my muscle back. I'm not as strong as before because I'm smaller, but I am still strong for my size. Of course I have muscle memory working in my favor. I'm also diabetic. I work out in the afternoon after I've had a chance to eat a few meals. I eat a high protein meal just before I workout and immediately afterwards. Could you qualify for a continuous glucose monitor. With that you would know what your blood sugar is at while you work out.

    Variation in athlete body types

I used to powerlift so I know that genetically weightlifting is my body type I used to look similar to the gal in the pictures who weighs 297. My weight was 293. I got so unhealthy though that I had to do something about the weight.
  6. I am almost five weeks post surgery. Today I worked out for an hour. I have been able to do that in years. I love weight lifting and being fit and I can finally do it again. I have rheumatoioid arthritis and diabetes. Before the surgery I was constantly sick, I had cellulitis 3 times last year. I have worked out 4 days so far this week and I'm sleeping less. I have my life back. I feel like I was in prison before and I have now been released. This is the real me. I may not get down to my goal weight as I love lifting heavy weights. But I have already gotten out of this surgery what I wanted, improved health and energy.

    Stage 3...purred and soft...

I have cooked chicken in the slow cooker which makes it really tender. I made ranch chicken in the slow cooker and paprika chicken. I use chicken thighs as they cook up softer and more moist then chicken breast. Made taco meat with ground turkey which I then pureed and topped with refried beans and a little cheddar cheese. Pureed cooked cauliflower with sour cream and chives is really and goes down easy
  8. I am one week post op. I have a son with severe autism. My husband has been keeping him away from me as he is aggressive at times and has kicked me in the stomach before. He also likes to play by putting his feet up to you for you to do this little piggy. He often sticks his feet into your stomach while doing this. The only incident we have had so far is when he tried to sit in my lap. He is almost 14 years old. How long are my incisions going to be sore. I'm going to have to start caring for him in one week, husband has to go back to work.
