    Happy Six Month Sleeviversary!!

Bread is not my friend either. Feels like a brick. Cheese is in my past life as well as I get really nauseous when I eat even just a tiny bit! Strange how things I didn't like before, i now love and things I loved, eh can do without them. Other than that, I'm thinking it is getting easier for me. I know my boundaries and know what I have to do to keep losing and feeling good. Just had my six month checkup and labs are perfect. All in the zone and focusing here!
  5. Happy six months everyone! I posted this in another category...but way more fitting here.........First month was getting used to everything...mainly eating. Months 2-5 were scattered! Eating this! Trying that! No, that didn't work! Oh, that works! Body seemed like it was resisting change....weight loss was slow. Summertime was here and schedule was not consistent! Finally! The last three weeks I have developed a great schedule that works for me and am down 10 more lbs! Total weight lost since initial consult is 61 lbs. Am now jogging 4 miles a day 3x's a week. Plus 2 days endurance exercising. I found foods that are perfect for me....Life is good! No...it is GREAT!! 46 more to get to goal. [emoji4]

    Hair loss?

I too have lost hair.....but....I have the best hair stylist ever! I have extensions and have the prettiest hair I have ever had!! No need for color touch ups! Even if it grows back, I'm keeping the extensions! It's a win-win for me!!! Healthy, losing weight, and best hair ever!!

Filled Up! 8 weeks post op

I am doing just fine now! It seems that I am still getting used to everything and how "it feels" compared to how I used to eat. I am so enjoying this journey! Thank you all for responding and joining in on the conversation. I'm glad I didn't have any problems and to those of you who think you might, always best to check it out with your doctor for sure!! Thanks everyone!
  11. I am 8 weeks post op and oh my gosh....can only eat 2 or 3 bites and I am filled to the brim! Like eating a huge thanksgiving dinner! Funny (strange) thing is two weeks ago I could eat 1/4 cup 3x daily plus two protein shakes. Could never do that now!! Going to try shake for breakfast and one for lunch so maybe at night I can have more than 2 bites. Anyone out there in bariatric-land experience this??

Ohhhhh I never thought to make iced coffee with the caramel ones! I bought some and didn't like them as they were too sweet. But with coffee....ooooh! I'm going to try!! Thanks for the tip!!

Lol....FYI...2 bites was a descriptive generalization. Not meant to be a standard of weight . Lol. Thanks for your comment and experience though. That's what we are all here for!! [emoji4]

No impact on ability to drink. Fine in that department. Just seems I get filled up a lot quicker than I used to get.

Not going to apologize for being vain

I think vanity helps keep me healthy! I want to feel good AND look good. It's a motivator for me. Just like keeping my hair blonde--mousy brown hair on me does not look good and I wouldnt keep it looking near as good as it does now. Same thing. It's nobody's business but mine!! Just sayin!
  22. Sleeved in March 2017. Doing well --lost 34 lbs so far and now on soft foods. Trying to keep bites small and slowwwwing down when eating. So hard for me to get my water in....I try and try and get about 48 oz in before I just cannot drink anymore. I know pure water is the best but at night, I just like a cup of hot tea. Relaxing. Tips for water??
