  1. Hi all, I am 12 days post op and I feel like ever since I got out of hospital I have been eating high sugar/high fat food and not enough Protein. Can anyone please give me a sample day of what I should be eating in pureed stage? This is me right now: Breakfast: 3 dessert spoons of yogurt (mango flavor) Lunch: chicken Soup (chicken/potato/carrots) pureed or Shrimp Bisque (evaporated milk, prawns) pureed about 1/4 - 1/2 cup Dinner: chicken broth OR Optifast shake (so high in sugar yuck) What should I do I really want to be good?! I have purchased ingredients to make ricotta bake as I've seen in other pages but I dont know if it's good for me anyway!?! SO LOST!

Thanks for all the input! I will follow what you guys are doing once I'm in 6 weeks. I am just in week 2 at the moment. Today my focus is to get in 60 grams of protein and very very low sugars. Breakfast: Protein shake 150 calories, 22 g protein and 7 g carbs (2.5g of which are sugar) Lunch: Ricotta Bake pureed 200 cals (9g carbs, 15g protein) Dinner: Protein Shake 150 calories, 22 g protein and 7 g carbs (2.5g of which are sugar) Fingers crossed this is good for me!

    Day 6 Hungry

Hi all I am 12 days post op and I can really relate. For me it's mostly head hunger.... I was dreaming of parmesan crisps given I have been on liquid / pureed diet for so long now..... I miss being able to chew on crispy food and eating popcorn etc. What I now do is just whip a yummy dinner up and feed my loved ones while I watch and feed on my pureed refried beans and mince... A few more weeks and we can chew again!! Let's stay strong!
