Congrats on your "band-date". I was approved last week but I haven't received a date yet. I am looking forward to having this tool. I think my date will be around mid June. Where will you be having your surgery?

I have just completed my six month requirement last week. It went by faster than i thought it would. Now I am just waiting for insurance approval. Hoping that doesn't take too long. Good luck in your lapband journey :tongue_smilie:

I have my 6th month visit next week and I can't believe how quickly it has gone by. I know it seems like a long time but it really will go fast. Great job on losing so much!

I have the dietician appts scheduled the same day as the doctor. They do both in the same office so that makes it very convenient. So actually I will have my 6th class on the 16th. The doctor does require that I complete a specific 3 classes then the other 3 are my choice. I have completed the three required classes.

:biggrin:I am getting so excited. On April 16th I will have completed my 6 months of required doctor supervised visits. I have completed all my dietician visits and my psych evaluation. I don't know if I passed it or not but I guess I will find out the results on the 16th. I also had to lose 13 pounds and as of last months visit I had lost 15 but I just went on vacation and I have to figure out a way to lose about 5 pounds before the 16th. While on vacation I tried a lot of different foods and didn't exercise like I should have been. Any advice on how to do that in about 9 days, let me know :thumbup: According to my doctor on the 16th they will submit all the paperwork to my insurance company (Humana) and once it is approved, then we will schedule the appt with the surgeon. I just can't believe how 6 months has just flown by! :regular_smile:

Busy, I am actually in Owensboro. My insurance does cover it, I do know that much. Deaconess checked on that when I first began this journey. Thanks for the encouraging words!

Hello to all. I have been reading on this site for months and finally decided to join. I have completed 5 of my 6 month appointments. I go Friday for my long psych evaluation. After that and my PCP visit in April I will have completed all my requirements and will just be waiting for my official approval. I have Humana PPO. Does anyone have idea how long they might take to approve? I am going through Deaconness Weight Loss Solutions in Evansville, Ind. even though I live in KY. Evansville is only about 45 mins. away. I really enjoy reading all your journeys. :crying:

Hi. I am also new to this site. I have been reading the posts for probably three or four months. I had my 5th appointment today with the PCP. I have to complete 6 months as a requirement by my insurance company. I am getting nervous and excited. I can't believe the time went by so fast.
