  1. In 3 mo out and I stalled at 2-3 weeks but then began losing again. A lot of the adjustment is due to hormonal changes. I just saw nutritionist and she said 800-1000 calories a day and that will increase a bit a year out or so. 40 to 60 grams of carbs a day so it should be no more than 40%of caloric intake. 50-60 grams of protein. I was 244 and I'm down to 202 now. Good luck!
  2. I had mine 3/29. How are you doing? I'm feeling pretty good. I am so sick of the shakes they turn my stomach and taste so sweet. Started purée today. Maybe just a couple spoonfuls and that was it.

    Any nurses who got sleeved?

I am a nurse and I will be out 4 weeks. Mainly because of the lifting guidelines at my hospital. My surgeon said it may even be longer because of the amount of weight the hospital requires us to lift. I think it's more employee health that won't clear me u too surgeon says it's ok to lift the heavier weight.
  4. I am only 4 days post op and honestly no cravings. I am not hungry and doing well sipping liquids and getting down shakes. I even went to dinner with my family and sipped water and didn't feel particularly hungry with the smells. Best of luck
  5. Thank u. Switched to plant base shakes and that has seeemed to settle things down. So strange that no lactose prior but can be an issue now.
  6. Has anyone had any issues with the milk based shakes post op? I have never been lactose intolerant prior but as soon as I began my post op drinks I began to get lots of gas pain, loud belly noises and diarrhea. Dr said try lactose free shakes and give it 24 hours. If you have had this, does the intolerance go away at some point?
  7. I'm scheduled next week. I have been on preop diet now for 4 days and every time I'm hungry I make a cup of hot decaf tea and that really helps. I also try to carry a large water bottle and drink that throughout day and that helps too. Good luck!
