I remember pre-surgery wondering if I would be successful. And I was. To those struggling with the same concerns, know you will be successful. Though no one can predict possible side effects, my surgery was a major success and I’ve had virtually no issues or complications. since April 2017 I’ve gone from a woman’s size 22 to a size 14. Dr Swain was my surgeon, honor health in Scottsdale has been amazing. Highly recommend.

you'll need to lower your expectations a bit. You're probably reading about these people who lose 30 lbs the first month, and 20-25 lbs after, but those people are rare birds. Most people seem to drop 15-25 lbs the first month, and then 10-12 lbs for the next six months or so, then it drops even further. But as long as you're committed, you'll lose the weight. I've lost 234 lbs and I never had any huge drops. I lost 16 lbs the first month and 10-12 lbs a month after that (then, as I said, it starts slowing down after month 6 or 7). It adds up over time. You just have to stick with it, and the weight will come off.

I was so worried Cigna wouldn't approve based on what people said, but I followed their requirements and was approved without issue.

I'm having surgery April 17. 32/f/Arizona. I'm 5'10 and started at 317 about 4 months ago and weighed in at 304 for my preop. So ready for this life changing surgery! Good luck on your may 1 surgery. If you still need a buddy, message me

I don't know for sure but I'm pretty certain that dumping is a lifetime issue. However there are people on this forum who state that they don't seem to get dumping at all.. everyone is different.
That said, a regular size bite of cake probably wouldn't cause dumping Once you start having pieces of cake, then it becomes an issue. Personally I'd rather have dumping to keep me honest and on track.

Everyone is talking about air fryers.A convection toaster oven or regular convection oven does the same thing. slice potatoes like fries[I use sweet potatoes better for you],soak in cold Water to soak some starch out. Then dry out.The cook in convection oven will be crisp like fries.Y You can skip the soaking but not as crisp.Cook in Convection oven.
