I am in bed all day. Luckily I homeschool. My hubby is annoyed though. I am currently looking up B12 shots.... eating even makes me tired. I don't feel bad I just feel tired.

    When does that change?

My BFFs are both MDs & they both told me that it takes the body time to adjust to operating at such a significant calorie deficit. Your body was used to operating on a significantly higher budget. It has to adjust... especially carrying such a significant amount of weight. This is my 3rd week post op and I can definitely that I am still in recovery and adjustment mode. It's getting a little better each day. One thing, it HAD to be more exhausting carrying around the additional pounds. I think it's in our heads "how much more energy we used to have" [emoji23]

The psych was very clear at my doctor's office. You should aim to be 90% on plan all the time. Having a single meal where you went off plan is not the end of the world, it is enjoying life. Don't let a single indulgence lead to a string of bad choices. You have nothing to be ashamed of!

Relax at least you admitted it. There are lots of critics on here that will tell you how bad you were. Bottom line just get right back on plan. I've slipped and was criticized for eating three marshmallows peeps

You weighed yourself after eating?? That can be Water and food. I weigh myself first thing in the morning after I have eliminated. Weighing at any other time of the day or night does not count.

I doubt you gained 2 lbs because of eating some food you shouldn't have eaten in your opinion on a single occasion.
Food addiction is powerful but I somehow doubt that only food addicts gorge themselves on these occasions, otherwise I would be surrounded by food addicts only.
Get over it, brush it away, get back on your personal plan and forget about it. These things happen and most likely will happen again.

My biggest complaint would be how tired I am. Its annoying because I have 4 kids with tons of energy. I'm hoping this will change soon.

I think I would try again with Protein, but either puree it, or only consume an ounce at a time at first. Baby steps.
Not sure what kind of protein is doing it.. cottage cheese seems to go pretty easy for me... maybe an easier protein for a while?

When do you start losing? One week out and not one pound

It may be contrary but it has worked for me (lost 140lbs and only two stalls) 11lbs away from goal at 13 months post surgery.

P.S. my lowest calorie days are 800 and my highest are 1600 (max calories for my goal weight). I always get my 60+ grams of Protein and less than 50g of carbs.
Higher calorie days also correspond with workout days.

I feel compelled to come by this thread and say the gas pain is gone. Day 6! I have some abdominal swelling and a small amount of pain around my incisions, but I feel a thousand times better than I did before.

Same thing happened to me I thought I was dying, I couldn't drink anything for the first week. Thank God my my obsessive stalking on BP before surgery and all the files I kept on the vets suggestions, I remembered I had read somewhere about another person w/the same issue....my problem was the cold drinks. I found out that I could take sips of very hot liquids with no issues. Popsicles, Jello n cold Water were a no and still are for me today. It will get better. I still don't know how I made it past 2 weeks post surgery.....take it easy you are still healing.

Try different temps. Cold hurt to me, room temp and warm were fine.

I also was sleeved on Friday, and have had trouble getting fluids down. I have noticed that maybe my sips, are just too big. When I take sips barely wetting my mouth, it doesnt hurt as much. Today I just came home and its starting to feel a little better. Hope you feel better soon.

I tried them but I don't think they helped. Most of the pain was in my left shoulder just for the one day and the next day it was fine.

They help with gas inside the stomach. They don't help with gas inside the body cavity. I took them for the first couple of weeks. They would probably be more helpful now, some foods really get my stomach rumbling.
