    Weight Stall Venting

I’m almost two years out and down 110 to 115 pounds. EVERY single long stall I had was because I needed to up my calories. As soon as I did the scale moved.

    Longest stall

I am a year out and have lost 113 pounds. Every single stall I have had has been relieved by upping my calories. Currently I eat abt 1400 a day w 60 to 85 g of protein.

    Gastric Bypass in Memphis

Thought I would pop back in to say hey. I started at 308 and my surgery was 4/17/17. This week I hit 198 pounds! Good luck in your journeys! I don’t have a lot of early pics but I’m in the black and white dress

    Stalls..

I’m 10 months in and for every long stall (like two or three weeks) they advised me to up my calorie intake. I started a little over 300 pounds and am now at 198.

    Gastric Bypass in Memphis

I had surgery mid April w dr Wegner. I’m down 100 pounds since then y’all! It’s so worth it. Good luck to everyone.
  8. I'm a little more than 8 months out from my bypass/hernia repair and have lost about 95 pounds. I've had a few long stalls (like 2 months) and both times the NUT told me to increase to 800 on the first one and 1000 on the second one and 1200 on the third one and I started losing again and broke the stall. Its so counterintuitive for sure but I am a big believer in eating more to lose. Good luck!

    Crazy sense of smell

I had about no sense of smell before my surgery and that was a shock afterwards when I felt like a "super smeller" lol. Mine went away gradually as I'm 7 months out and its totally back to normal now. I also had Dr Wegner. Surgery 4/17 and I'm down almost 90 pounds. Good luck to you!
  10. Hang in there. I was exactly the same way...especially when I woke up in the mornings my mouth tasted TERRIBLE! It all seemed to go away at about the 3 month mark so there is definitely hope. I also was at the point about week 3 that I could not tolerate another milk based protein shake like slimfast. I had a brief fling with isopure which was good for me for a few weeks and then I found Syntrex protein powder and it has been my lifesaver. Two scoops of that is 200 calories and 46g of protein. It literally made everything tolerable for me. Hang in there!

    Buyers regret

Oh wow -- hang in there my friend -- it will get better I promise! I just hit the 4 month mark and I could have written your post at the same point The protein shakes made me just miserable after about 2 weeks but I did find comfort in the isopure drinks from Vitamin Shoppe. They were expensive but worth it to me at that point. I would have done anything to avoid the Slim Fast shakes LOL I also found syntrex nectar protein and now I mix two scoops of that with water and it provides 46 grams of protein for 200 calories and it tastes good to me and they have a lot of flavors. Once you find a couple of flavors you like you can get the giant containers online from walmart for cheaper. I'm down 65 pounds and have so much more energy and feel great. You can do this!
  12. I think you will be fine to go... may just have to sit and rest a little bit when you feel tired (I was pretty easily worn out at that point -- I'm almost 4 months out now). Just listen to your body

    When am I full?

I never felt it until I was closer to eating more solid food....
  14. I'm almost 4 months out now (down 62 pounds) and i'm eating about 1000 cals a day and my RD said to try to stay under 100 grams of carbs per day
  15. I'm almost 4 months post bypass and have lost about 62 pounds so far. I honestly didnt start exercising (walking and riding my bike) until about a month ago. I also had terrible nausea for almost the first three months. You have the rest of your life to exercise dont stress about it right now just do what you can when you can! Good luck!
