  1. I'd question your doctors capability. I have no idea how the sleeve could be more complicated than the bypass. I chose the sleeve basically because I had no GERD issues and I wanted to keep the same biological food processing methods as before my surgery. In my mind this minimizes complications over my lifetime
  2. My nutritionist told me 1000-1200 calories for women(60 G protein) and 1200-1400 calories for men(100 G protein). Carbs under 100g was desirable as well.
  3. HW-349 SW-339 CW-267 Total loss since surgery-72 lb Surgery date -3/21
  4. I drank Powerade zero the first week after surgery and now drink Gatorade G2 from time to time. Should not be a problem to drink Gatorade but need to watch the caloric intake with fluids is my suggestion
  5. 1) 1000-1200 for women and 1200-1400 for men 2) 60 G protein for women and 100 g for men. 100 g carbs max 3) None 4) No, but am lax on the carb requirement. Couple days a week go over probably
  6. My nutritionist recommended 1200-1400 calories for me and 100g protein with 100g max carbs for the weight loss phase.
  7. Lancaster, KY here Sleeved 3/22 Dr Eric Smith at Georgetown Hospital He was great surgeon and procedure went very well considering the hiatel hernia repair as well.
  8. Sleeved 3/22. HW-350 SW-335 CW-310 Lost 25 since surgery. Doing very well and getting all water/protein. Currently eating everything but steak and pork per doctors plan. Average 850 calories per day with target of 100g protein/less than 100g carbs. Loving my decision and very hopeful for the future
  9. I choose sleeve. Main reason was to keep same digestive process in place and also avoid need for continuous supplements and/or not have to avoid NSAIDs I may need later in life for other reasons
  10. Sleeved on March 22. Lost 28 pounds since surgery at 39 overall. Very happy with my decision for a life change with the vsg!
  11. I stayed 2 nights after sleeve and hiatel hernia repair. Would've went at 1 night but I had issues with vomiting which prompted the extra night.
  12. My nutritionist recommends 1000-1200 calories for women and 1200-1400 calories for men. 70 grams protein for women and 100 grams for men. Carbs under 100g per day. Thanks and keep up the good work
  13. I'm now about 18 days post op. I can eat much faster for soups and liquids. A protein shake(11 oz premier) takes less than 10 min, 1/2 can of soup takes 15-20 min. Ivan feel the restriction with a 1 egg cheese omelette. Sometimes I wonder if my sleeve is normal due to fast times for liquid consumption but I guess everyone is different. Thankful everything I've tried is going well.
  14. Sleeved 3-22 in KY. Doing well now after the initial gas pains and swelling of stomach post surgery. HW-350 SW-335 CW-331
