Yes...it was bad. I had 3 stents put in, not at one time. I had Fluid on my lungs so that needed to be drained. 2 drainage tubes and a feeding tube put in. 7 surgeries in all. My doctor only had 3 in his whole time he's done this surgery. I was one of three. But God has healed me. I'm so greatful to him. I still have to have feedings at night, but soon I hope that will be gone as well.

No, I'm finally back to work. I was very hard. I would have never made it without my faith in God. I'm doing so much better. I'm hoping I get my feeding and drainage tube out soon. I just am able to eat again. I went from August to just a few weeks ago of not eating. It was rough. I think I was more thirsty than hungry. hank you for your kind words.

I had my surgery on September 13th. I had a leak after surgery. I was in and out of the hospital for 30 days. I still have a feeding tube and a drainage tube in my stomach. I was just wanting to know if anyone else had this issue after surgery and how are you doing now.

I knew something was wrong. I was in recovery all day and night, I had to get a blood transfusion. One week later I was taken to the hospital with horrible pain in my stomach and upper left chest. It was determined there I had a leak.

Premier Protein is the most tolerable. Their caramel kind is pretty awesome compared to others. I'm starting week 2 of my 2 week pre-op diet and I'm dreading it. 5 shakes and no food at all is going to be rough. Good luck to you!

I'm on my two week liquid right now. Our doctors office has me on a brand called Unjury. It's not too bad. I really don't like the strawberry. I also am drinking Health Wise Soup, drink, pudding, Jello and soup. It's not awful. I plan on using the Premier brand when I go home from the hospital on Friday.

You guys crack me up! I work in a nurses office so I wear scrubs all day.....kind of pj's. I'm a bit worried that I will get too comfortable as well.

Just to pipe in again about the issue of stretchy clothes.

This morning as I was dressing for the gym I realized that the only clothes that I still wear from my preop are my yoga pants, leggings, etc. the Spanx yoga pants I put on today to work out are a 3x and fit me when I was 80 lbs heavier. I will be able to wear them for probably another 30 lb loss.

Yes they were snug before. Yes they are a tad loose now. But the point is, these pants will work for a hundred pound weight range.

    OMFG!!!!!

    For me - NOT GOOD!!!!

Fine for gym. But that's it.

I'm just kidding with you hon. I absolutely agree that my jams and stretchies have contributed WAAAAAAAAYYYY too much to lack of accountability and lack of seeing progress. Sorry for being silly. I truly see your point. I will consider how to implement this and start making these changes. I really didn't think of it this way, since I'm an obsessive daily weigher that has a super long spread sheet with daily weights, cals, macronutrients, waist measurement, etc. But when you phrase it as being part of building new successful habits--you're definitely right!
Ironically, Sunday at the grocery store I wore my magic pants and I looked down cuz I felt "uber free and easy." Low and behold, my pants are so big on me now, the waist band is still at my waste, but the crotch is almost to my knees! Did you take away my magic? Cuz at this rate, they won't make it another 18lbs (which was my lowest weight where I wore them).

ROFLMAO! Thank you for making me feel like I'm not alone! True story and full confession, I have eleventy billion pairs of flannel pj bottoms and tshirts--my work clothes. The other day, I switched it up and put on some pull up shorts that are falling down around my ankles (practically) and Mr. Fluffy comes home and says, "Oh good for you. You dressed for dinner!" *snort*

I tried on clothes the week after surgery - I had to dress professionally for an event and nothing fit! Between the pre op diet (lost 40 pounds) and the effects of the surgery my entire work wardrobe hung off me. So off to goodwill I went and then to Walmart, and clearance racks at other stores. Now that I'm back to work I had to have professional clothes. I'm afraid of the future costs, but wouldn't change the surgery deciding ever. Best choice I made recently! I did hide the scale because it's not moving but clothing size I've gone from a 26 to 16W.

I went from a 34/36 (11/2015) to a now a 14 (09/2017), you bet I move on to new sizes when the opportunity presents itself. We worked hard to get our bodies back, no more covering it up. I'm on my work computer and can't get to my updated pictures, but this is from 04/2017, I'm smaller now. Embrace your change, we wanted this (for the best reasons).

Thanks very much to all of you. I was sitting here in tears, feeling so lonesome. Like I didn't fit in anywhere. You ladies helped me more than you know. You helped me to know that I'm not crazy!! I felt like I was! I wonder if Wilson would taste better than the broth at the hospital? I bet he would.
