  1. I was told to wait a minimum of 3months post op. Had one wine cocktail on my birthday (at the 3 month mark) and felt tipsy half way through it.
  2. Good luck! I had a stabbing sensation from time to time while healing those first few weeks and was told it was likely scar tissue forming.
  3. 2 pounds away from hitting Onderland haven't been in the 100s in more than 15years
  4. Hi Jenny! I'm 32 and had RnY bypass on 4/24. Would love to be buddies. Feel free to message me and we can connect.
  5. I slept on our couch for the first three weeks. Eventually got back to the bed but it's totally normal to take a while. Hang in there!
  6. I'm down 43lbs so far. Finally had to go out and buy a few new jeans this weekend.
  7. I had surgery on 4/24 as well! 14lbs from Onederland. My birthday is in late July and I can't think of a better present to myself than to see a 1 [emoji4]
  8. I was told by my physician to weight at least 12 months after surgery before getting pregnant.
  9. Thanks!!! Will have to pick up some crystal light! I used to love the premier drinks pre surgery, but post op the lactose hurts my tummy. For my coffee fix I've been having an Iconic protein shake in the cafe flavor or make a protein shake with Chike protein powered mixed with soy or almond milk. Both are easy to order from Amazon.
  10. What are you drinking for your fluids? I struggle with water and am sick of vitamin water zero [emoji20] shakes and soy milk are really the only liquids that I can get down fairly comfortably.
  11. How are you all feeling? I had surgery on 4/24 and am just making it through my first stall (it lasted 2 weeks) I've lost 15lbs since surgery. Liquids are hard for me to get down and water is the worst. Super bummed bc I LOVED cold filtered water 24/7 prior to surgery.
  12. Hang in there! I hit my first stall at week 3 and it lasted about 2 weeks. Scale finally started moving again on Sunday
  13. Progress... 30lbs down from my highest weight when I started the pre-op phase #slowandsteady #makingitthroughmyfirststall
  14. In the same boat, I'm around 12lbs down since surgery on 4/24. For the first two weeks post op though I could only get in around 400 calories a day. So far being on the soft food stage now has helped and (today I even hit my protein goal of 80g). Hoping that triggers some weight loss in the upcoming days [emoji4] keep me posted how it goes.
  15. Felt great starting the day, but completely wiped out by 2pm and painfully tired by 5pm. Will sleep well tonight.
  16. How are you doing? I head back to work tomorrow.
  17. First week was rough with lots of gas pain. Luckily no nausea, but the gas pain made drinking difficult. Started feeling significantly better each day heading into week 2. The biggest struggle for me now is fatigue and getting in my liquids/ protein shakes bc I don't feel thirsty. I never explored getting a MGB, just went with the laparoscopic RnY Bypass.
  18. I brought loose PJs with me but ended up just wearing the hospital gown the 3 days I was in the hospital.
  19. I found out I had Barrett's during all the preop testing. Facing this diagnosis, I switched from wanting a sleeve to getting RnY. Had surgery on 4/24.
  20. How many months out from surgery are you? Good luck!
  21. I brought my own robe, a pillow, hairbrush and some mascara. Oh, and my phone charger. It was nice to have the mascara as a little pick me up on Day 2 when i was feeling tired and sore.
  22. Haven't had a problem keeping my carbs down bc I feel like I'm hardly eating/ have zero appetite. Today I had 1 1/4 protein shakes, a vitamin water zero, popsicle, and 1/4 cup of soup. Trying to up my protein consumption but the struggle is real.
  23. I can't wait to have an egg.... I feel like I'm dreaming about them in my sleep LOL
