Divorced Today
Hey all, I just got back from the courthouse. I am officially divorced as of 10:30 this morning. It feels weird. Good but weird. I got a little choked up when the judge was announcing to the court that "evidence shows that this marriage is herby absolved and shall from this moment on Leenerbups "Cowbell" (using fake name of course) be known as Leenerbups "Pirate". I'm glad this happened during the Spring. Ressurrection, Renewal and rebirth, and all.

PCOS Treatment Options Help?
Janet, the problem with letting it go untreated, or "managed" is a better word, is it can lead to other serious health problems. Diabtetes, heart disease, obesity and gynocolgical issues and cancers.

PCOS Treatment Options Help?
ROFL Paula. What Sam posted is what I do. I use the natural helpers because I'm from another planet is seems and my body rejects most prescription and OTC drugs. lol SO I use a good natural progesterone cream, those supplements, exercise and now Lap Band. My endocranologist is the one who suggested this surgery to me, because I was not able to take the drugs, the weight was piling on so fast, I was becoming the beared lady and my hair has been falling out. I used to hair model it was so thick, now I can't even keep it in a pony tail. You can see my scalp. She also said you have to go more by the symptoms than the evidence of cysts or super high tetosterone. Most doctors don't have good knowledge about this. I mean, I have been seeing doctors about what was wrong with me since I was a teen. Finally a female endocronologist found out what it was in my 40's. Those are a lot of years gone by. I did not have cysts appear until the past year and a half and my testosterone has been mid level to low mid level.

Mom just died...and my surgery is May 9th...
Dawn, I am so sorry you lost your mom. Losing a parent or child is the worst and my heart goes out to you. I think you should go ahead and have the surgery. Your mom would want you to avoid the very thing that eventaully killed her, diabetes and obesity, so you can be around longer for your family than she wanted to, but was unable to be. I am sure she will be with you on the day you do it.

PCOS Treatment Options Help?
Kim, just to add I'm like you, I have alays had regular periods. Always. CLockwork. Just have everything else that you do too. Many doctors disagree about the PCOS "rules" one thing for sure, I have those cysts, I've seen them on ultrasound. And the elevations, the hair on my face, the lack of hair on my head says so too. LOL ANyway, because your like me and cant take BC, exercise is supposed to be super helpful with PCOS. Something to do with helping insulin and the cells reaction with each other. Because in the end, insulin started the problem. And of course weight loss will lessen the symptoms.

PCOS Treatment Options Help?
Hi Kim, I have PCOS too. There is a great site called soulcysters.com you can get more info on. I also can't take BC because of my age and weight and high cholestral, but I wish I could, because when I did it helped. The glucophage made me really sick, but it does help the body process the insulin, which is our main problem. Just a word to the wise: Go every year fro your gyno exam. Women with PCOS are at risk for other diseases such as ovarian cancer and other risky things. SO go! No more ten years deal, it could cost you! I'm going through siomething with it right now and awaiting further tests. *shakes finger*

Prozac Anyone?
Gentlespirit, I'm not diabetic, but I am hypoglycemic. I'm also insulin resistant/PCOS, so I have a lot of wacky insulin issues. Both my parents are diabetic as was one set of grandparents. My dad has a glucometer I'm going to get tomorrow, so see if it is blood sugar that the Prozac is messing with. Melody, thank you. :-) Actually I found out just recently I might be BiPolar II and as it raised my depression, by the second day I was feeling speedy and wired. I'm going to check my blood levels. Sarah, I do have anxiety issue, so it's out. I have panic disorder. I've been through so many to try to find something that works with my system. :-/

MelAnne, I was the same way for about a week or so. It went away. Of course I was also only drinking liquids so naturally, everything went through me.

Would like feedback on my new website
I think you did a very good job. It's honest. There was someone else here last month looking for donations, but with your site, I don't feel like I'm being scammed when I go to it.

Prozac Anyone?
Hey all, yup hypoglycemia can result in 10% of patioents taking this. (my luck!) I gained two lbs in the 3 days on this stuff because of my blood sugar swings. I had to eat to keep from crashing. Shame, it was helping everything else.

Prozac Anyone?
LOL Thanks my friend. *hugs** I had to eat a lot yesterday to keep my sugar up. SO I am assuming the low blood sugar side effect won't go away with time? I am wondering if I should wait it out???? It *felt* a lot like my blood sugar crashes. I actually started to feel a brightening already and my thoughts weren't negative and obsessive for a day WOW. ANd I actually felt my libido rising from the grave after 20 years. GASP. So I'd like to keep taking it. But passing out from low blood sugar is a deal breaker for me.

That's terrible to feel that pain and not know. Call the doctor and let us know how you are.

Bad Mid Back Pain
Desertmom, you and I sound the same in the location of the pain. Mine comes after eating though. I tried again to have a meal of solids yesterday. To see if my band had opened and calmed down enough. But I got the pain, even after eating slowly. Maybe I need to keep on soft foods until I lose more weight and lossen the thing up. I don't know. I really hope this pain isn't forever.

Prozac Anyone?
Okay, this is going to sound really odd, but I'm on day 2 of the Prozac and I kind of feel like I did onthe paxil. It started lifting me but my blood sugar feels low. I know it's so soon and I'm only taking 2.5 but I'm very sensitive to stuff. I am also naturally very hypoglycemic, so it's not a good thing.

Ghosts...
Dovie, sounds like a UFO experience to me. His reaction is classic response to such an event. This may sound crazy but I know real people who are very sane and down to earth that have seen them too.

What is your food weakness, (demise)?
I have a few. These are the foods I love, crave and have no control over: 1.Chocolate. Not chocolate ice cream or anything else. I'm talking pure solid milk chocolate candy. 2. mashed potatos. Creamy, salty buttery goodness. 3. cake and cupcakes. From scratch. Not a box. Home-made or a really good bakery. 4. macaroni and cheese and any kind of Pasta dish. 5. My famous huge warm from the oven chocolate chip Cookies

Question about pee color (sorry)
Yup, too dark and your dehydrated. You actually want your pee to be light.

My Barium swallow pics, does this look like a slip?
Wow. That looks tighter than mine did right AFTER surgery when they took me in for my test. I was watching it on screen. I just don't understand why a doctor would not help someone in need, justbecause you did not start with them. It makes no sense to me. Let's hope you find a kind and compassionate surgeon Pati-o

Bad Mid Back Pain
Wow Janet, that was so helpful. Really. People say slow down, but when you inhaled food before, slowing down is all relative, you know? I need thinks spelled out for me. It's the way my brain works.
