Recommended Posts

Lonnie went out to check on PeeWee, our banty hen who has been setting on two eggs, and he found a chick! It's sooooo.........cute! & tiny. Here's a pic. I'll post another when the other egg hatches.

How adorable!! If they would just stay that cute or not grow spurs. I've been flogged enough in my time!! Stupid rooster used to chase us kids.

Megan, I wish I could give you one of my broody wenches! LOL! I have to run them off the nest! I have 4 big chickens that are extremely broody. We weren't trying to have chicks from the banty. When we went to Illinois for my Aunt's funeral, my Dad stayed here to take care of the chickens & dogs. I forgot to tell him to check PeeWee for eggs (PeaNut the banty rooster & her are kept seperate from the big chickens). When we got home, she was setting on 2 eggs.Voila! Chicks! I can't get her to get up so I can see if the other egg is hatched this morning. I'm not brave enough to stick my hand under her. She pecked the fire out of Lonnie last night! I'll see if I can sucker him into it again tonight.

Well,my G-pa told me to leave golfballs wherever I wanted my hens to lay. They think it's an egg & they sit on it. It works! LOL! She sat on 1 golfball & 2 eggs for 28 days. If the golf ball hatches, we're in trouble!LOL!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
