Have to Wait 90 Days For Fill
Thanks Alex for posting in this. Yes, that's defo too much and I don't mind waiting a little longer because your right, I'm almost there. I'm having a bit of a health crisis going on so a fill is on the back burner and the least of the problem right now. Janet, I like the sound of that, it makes so much more sense. I'm one that likes to err on the side of caution anyway. Just hoping the weight isn't back on when the fill comes around.

Abnormal Pap
Update: Well, I had a special test today at my OB/GYN . I have to have surgery "just in case". :phanvan I have to have a D&C on some spot that showed up and remove what they think is a fibroid tumor out. I can't believe I have to undergo surgery again after just having surgery weeks ago. My gyno knows I was a wreck, so I think he sugar coated it saying "we want to be sure" because I heard the doctors talking as I got dressed again, and heard them whispering "suspicious spot" that has "venous activity".. I also heard "yea...with that history..." (my mom had uterine cancer) I've been crying all day. I had this surgery so I could avoid the risks of cancer and other diseases. Maybe I am too late and this is it for me?:think

Have to Wait 90 Days For Fill
I don't know, I can call and ask. Alex goes to the same surgeon, maybe she can chime in. The fills are done at the hospital though, under flouroscope, so I imagine that would be costly. I'm unemployed right now, and having trouble making bills, so I can't self pay.

Have to Wait 90 Days For Fill
Hello bandlarians, I spoke with the person who schedules fills and she told me my insurance won't pay for it for until 90 days after surgery! Yikes!! I was banded March 13th, I have little restriction and barely hanging onto what I have lost so far.. I am up a little and struggling to not gain. :help:

Rosacea
Paula, according to alternative medicine, it's caused by allergies and stress. My friend had it and so I read up on it by googling. Although they gave her topical meds, I wanted to find out WHY it was happening. Supposedly it's something your ingesting, and a few of the main culprits are the nightshades (potato, eggplant, tomato etc). You may want to google a bit yourself and read up on the info there and see if it apllies to you.

Lap Band Complications
Oh Dee Dee, you poor thing. :-( First, I would definitely fight the insurance company. 6 years ago I had a breast reduction and they denied me, but I appealed and threatened to go to the insurance board with my claim and they paid for it. I think your going to have to play hard ball with them. This is medically necessary. You had no other symptoms? And only a year out? I really feel for you. I can't imagine the kind of life your living and no, to me it would not be worth it. Gosh your situation has scared the bejeesus out of me.

Post `em if you got `em!! I'd post mine but there is no URL for them. P-Nut. I'm sorry for your loss. I can very much relate. They are family and I have dogs and cats 20 years passed that I still miss, like any family member gone.

Lap Band Complications
Dee Dee, I'm so sorry. Like the others, I'm pretty much speechless. Was your band eroded for a long time before anyone found out? DId you have it checked out every year with a barium swallow, etc? I really wish someone would pay for that revision, if they think that is the way to go, so that you feel better. And yes, like the others, this scared the crap out of me too.

Nioxin and Thinning Hair Treatments
anillacookie, I like the follicle booster too. I even tried other hair loss product lines but found Nioxin to be the best. My friend who is a hair stylist at Supercuts introduced me to it. Eileen is right, about the hair loss. But for me it's PCOS, and it never went back to it's former glory. I really feel like if my friend didn't introduce me to Nioxin last year I'd be wearing wigs right now.

Bad Mid Back Pain
Just want to update all that I'm doing fine now. I am able to eat solids comfortably as long as I follow the "Put the Fork Down a Minute Between Bites" rule. In fact, i think I am ready for a fill. I am always hungry and am slowly gaining back what I lost.

Hi Mary, Yes the supplements were from Nioxin. hair loss can be caused from so many things; surgery hormone imbalance (in my case it's PCOS) skin/scalp condition excessive shedding (I forget the medical term) lack of protien/minerals/vitamins Like waterlilly said about sing the whole line and trying things to see what works best. But find out why it's happening

Nioxin and Thinning Hair Treatments
Hey, your talking to the hair loss queen. Back in my twenties, I was a hair model. Long, very thick and very wavy. My hair was always my crowning glory. Now, it's so thin you can see my scalp. But it's from hormone issues. It began to really fall out bad when I was on Atkins, so it defo was not anything to do with protien. I tried everything. From Minoxodil (it gave me bad dermatitis on my scalp), pills, everything. What is working for me is the Nioxin. I use the line for chemically treated hair. Because it is thin, I have lightened it. It disguises the scalp better. I get mine off of Ebay to save money. But use the entire line to really be effective. The shampoo, conditioner and the scalp treatment. It's really helped. I also use the supplements when I can afford it.

Divorced Today
Thank you all. It is bittersweet. My husband and I were best friends, but he was a very selfish man and it was getting worse as the years went on, not better. He made $87k a year and let me file for bankruptcy when I fell ill with chronic fatigue. (I only was 5k in debt.If I needed a few stamps I had to give him money for it. His wife. Now he is living in Russia with a woman he met on the Internet. But I'm now with a very unselfish man who also happens to be in his 20's. GO ME!! :-p
