  1. What kind of oatmeal do you recommend?
  2. I am a little over 3 months post RNY; what kind of whole grains can I eat? I am fearful, though, of the extra carbs. Any tips and suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

  4. I am 3 months post-op RNY. We are going on s 7 day cruise in about 3 weeks and I am extremely anxious about the availability of all of the food. I have been telling myself that if I feel the need to snack, that it must be protein or veggies. Any other tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
  5. How do I get more calories? I am doing one shake and 4 small meals per day (600-700 cals and 70-80 grams of protein per day)
  6. Snacks were hard for me too but once you start working them in it will be easier...just be sure it is protein!
  7. I had RNY bypass ... given I was a "light weight", i will just have to accept that i am a slow loser!
  8. I have only lost 37 pounds....i say "only" because i expected it too be a bit more by now. I eat about 600-700 calories per day (including one protein shake) and usually average between 65 and 75 grams of protein. If I need to increase calories, I am all for it; however, I don't know how to fit it all in...any tips or suggestions are really appreciated. (My surgery weight was 232 and I am 195 now, i hoped to be at 180 by now ☹️)
  9. I am 2 1/2 months post RNY and am having a hard time getting more than 600 calories...i get about 65-70 grams of protein but i think i need more calories to break a stall...nothing lost in over a week...how do i get more calories/protein? Help..feeling discouraged.

  18. I am 7 weeks post op RNY... when can I try protein bars?
  19. 7 weeks post RNY and only down 24 pounds...i get about 500-600 cals and 65-75 grams of protein...feel like I made a mistake getting this surgery ☹️
  20. I am 7 weeks post op RNY...i am not sure what to eat any more...pretty much only eat yogurt, cottage cheese, lunch meat and chicken...can I have salad yet? What else can I eat? i am anxious about trying any recipes unless I am able to account for everything in there so I can track. Help!

  22. Thanks everyone, the problem that I am having is that I just can't eat more per meal and if I had another meal and that makes me feel like I'm eating all day long and then hard to get the liquids in.
