  3. Also have been losing about a lb a day since surgery, I started my own diet a month prior to surgery. Dropped 21lbs on my own, was 230 at surgery, currently 224 HT: 5'6" HW: 251lb -1/25/17 SW: 230lb -7/19/17 CW: 228lb -7/22/17 GW: 140lb
  4. @nhope @LINZ62383 I'm so happy to have been able to clear some things up for you both! I'm On day 5 post op, finally passed gas at 5am on day 3 post op (Thank God!) I still have to remind myself to pee through out the day though, or my bladder will hurt once it's over capacity. Sleeping was a pain. I slept propped up on pillows, you're lucky if you have a recliner. Off of pain killers since day 4 post op The sipping has gotten better as well now I'm drinking more frequently with less trouble as the first few days. My stomach is all bruised. Super ugly (see pic). I'm able to walk tons but I'd be so tired soon after as if I need 25 years of rest. Lol I still do have gas in my diaphragm from when they inflate you (makes it super painful to wear any bra) also underwear's we're a no go for me the first days due to the extra swelling!!! Just a bit on my experience so far. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Feel free to PM me! HT: 5'6" HW: 251lb -1/25/17 SW: 230lb -7/19/17 CW: 228lb -7/22/17 GW: 140lb
  5. Lucky you to have a recliner I've been sleeping propped up on pillows. But have been able to lay on my right side now. I'm no longer regretting the surgery. The worst part is over. I'm finally able to sip and have a sort of schedule. I have started to feel physical hunger which I didn't think I'd feel so soon. And let's not get started on my cravings and having to deal with the amazing odors of the foods that landed me here in the first place. How are you feeling? 8. Is it ok to eat these 3 days post op. Read somewhere if you make the grits watery enough your belly can possibly handle it. I'm not having any luck with protein shakes. They don't sit well at all. Was hoping I could add my protein powder to these 2 things whilst they cook. HT: 5'6" HW: 251lb -1/25/17 SW: 230lb -7/19/17 GW: 140lb

    Surgery today!!

Today I'm feeling much better just gassy which is giving me back pains. Been off pain meds since 10am. Walking lots and urinating. Convinced staff I'm ready to go home. They made me drink 2 protein shakes to prove so lol how are you feeling? Ps. I definitely can't walk straight. Super bloated HT: 5'6" HW: 251lb -1/25/17 SW: 230lb -7/19/17 GW: 140lb
  10. I got out of surgery at 11am. Woke up around 1-2 in so much pain. Had tons of back pain cause of the oxygen. My voice was raspy cause of the intubation. Stomach hard and swollen as a ball. I questioned my decision to every nurse and Dr I saw. They gave me Morphine in a machine which I press the button and it gives me morphine every 15mins. Feeling much better now. I started walking around 9pm when the anasthesia was wearing off. Was dizzy but I made It through. Finished phase 1: liquids yesterday. Today I start stage 2: protein shakes started peeing soon after I started walking. I was retaining all my urine after that first pee. Decided to walk more now I am a non stop pissing machine lol. Only problems I'm having now are gas pains. In which I'm taking gas x for. Having passed gas yet but hopefully I will this AM so I can go home tonight. They brought me all liquids at 8; SF Jello, Water bottle, Veggie broth, green tea. 3 sips of broth and I was full. (Such an amazing feeling since I still don't believe I had the bypass done, so bittersweet) Now trying to figure out how to pass gas [emoji618]️ HT: 5'6" HW: 251lb -1/25/17 SW: 230lb -7/19/17 GW: 140lb

    Smoking.

Hi yes! I had stopped smoking for 3 months. Meant to say the last I smoked was 3 weeks prior to this recent. I smoked h o o k .... a recreationally. Which I did 3 weeks ago. Used to vape 3mg faithfully (what I quit 3 months ago). I have been busting my ass off at the gym to sweat off the urge since learning the effects of nicotine post surgery. Would hate to have surgery postponed, but I've read since im no longer a consistent nicotine consumer it should be out of my system in 1-3 days. Fingers crossed! I do feel prepared and do admit this set back was due to peer pressure (what I get for hanging with people who don't know of my decision to get WLS) you are although absolutely correct in regards to me seeking help to prevent anymore situations to which I've come to terms that I should just say NO and move on or open up about my surgery and not care for anyone's opinion (I will be bringing it up tomorrow with my Bariatric psychologist) HT: 5'6"HW: 251 -1/25/17 CW: 235 -7/11/2017 GW: 140 SW: Pending Surgery date: 7/19/17
