I haven't tried this myself, but my son has researched it and done it for weight loss. He said he likes restricting his eating time rather than restricting his diet because he doesn't feel deprived. He didn't keep doing it due to different things going on with his schedule, but is talking about going back to it once he gets back to a regular routine.

I work in healthcare also, and what they did was completely inappropriate. Personally, I think they should be called on the carpet for it, or at the very least be made aware of how this has affected you on an emotional level, and about the things you mentioned here about your history. But this is a personal decision you have to make, because this is the office you will be returning to. I feel there will always be an awkwardness there now when you have to return for follow up, and that is so not fair to you.
My thought is that if it happened to me I would write a personal letter to the PA, with a copy to the doctor, on what happened, explaining it like you did here. (Cut and paste saves some time!) This not only affected you, but I'm sure your son was also upset by it. Perhaps a good suggestion would be that the staff involved should attend some mandatory sensitivity training to prevent it happening to someone else, as there is nothing that can be done to take back what happened to you or make it ok.
They are probably (hopefully) mortified by what happened, but what they feel is probably nothing close to what they made you feel.

I haven't tried it but I'm interested in hearing other experiences. I have used a blend of essential oils for back pain that worked well, it just didn't last as long as I would like. Mostly now I just use Tylenol if i need something.

    Guys... (and Gals!)...

I can run. Like one of those fit people you see running on the side of the road. Except the fit part of course. But still I’m RUNNING. It’s been years. I knew I missed running, but the absolute feeling of accomplishment I have is insane! Now admittedly I can’t do it for very long, but I’m okay with that! Today I ran 2.12 miles in 30 minutes. Not impressive to normal joggers but for me that’s AMAZING.

I am having a very proud NSV and I hope everyone else is having a good night!

Girl, same here. I lost all my booty and all my boob along with the weight. But I wouldn't trade it for anything! I have found it hard to find a good fitting bra at the size I am now, and bras are expensive! I recently found a good fitting sports bra and bought several more right away. One positive, it is easier to exercise without as much bounce!

Ditto what everyone else said. While it may be possible to drag yourself to the interview and teach, you won't be at your best. If you really want the job, ask them to reschedule and give yourself a couple weeks at least. Hopefully they will be understanding.

ChaosUnlimited got a reaction from Orchids&Dragons in Logging your daily intake of food and etc.?
I guess you don't have to log the type and amount, but I find it helpful for times when I'm going through a stall to look back and see what my diet was like during times I lost well and didn't. Also, it helps keep me honest, as I get further out and my appetite grows, I find myself sometimes wanting to eat more than what a serving size should be.

I cannot eat two eggs at 10 months! One. I still slime if i eat too fast, or one too many bites. You have to slow down and learn to quit early. It takes practice, I know!!!! You will learn quickly or suffer more...lol We have all had that lesson.

We take it twice a day and it provides pretty even relief that way. Start at the lowest dose on package and see how you feel. Give it a few days and you should be able to tell the difference if it works for you.
Should also say that CBD oil quality varies greatly. Your best bet is to purchase from a supplier that also sells medicinal cannabis at a dispensary. Those folks are using the whole plant to make the CBD oil instead of just stems and leftover industrial by-product from hemp. There's lots of information, do your research and you should be good.

My husband and I both use CBD and have been doing so for about a year. We live in a legal state but due to my huband's job in the medical profession he steers clear of THC as a precaution. We initially tried it for helping with anxiety and joint pain and we've both had huge success. Here are our findings...
Several companies make disposable vape pens with CBD only. We take 2-3 puffs from this to calm anxiety in the moment. Works really well for both of us and we have not experienced any side effects. Also works for pain but doesn't last as long.
We use CBD oil for body pain. My husband finds that it works to relieve his sciatica pain as well as lower back pain. He's getting back in to running and this has been particularly helpful to mitigate some of the muscle soreness as well. I use the CBD oil for knee and foot pain primarily. It really helps me pull out of a plantar fasciitis episode more quickly.
I did use a combination of CBD/THC for insomnia. When I was doing that, I found that it worked much better and longer lasting on my pain the following day as well. I highly recommend it for folks in a legal state. I have managed well on CBD only for the past 3 months as I was preparing for this surgery. Hoping that many of my aches and pains will be alleviated with weight loss and I can go back to using cannabis products intermittently just for fun!
And finally, my cat has been on it for 3 months for arthritis pain and she is more active than she's been in 5 years. I'm a fan, obviously!

Hello everyone! new to this group! I was chugging down the path toward Gastric Sleeve surgery and had my date back in August of 2016. Went in for my pre-op testing and my surgeon caught that I was anemic and low red-blood cell count. Surgeon said they had to figure out what was going on before they went in, so they found a spot for a colonoscopy and endoscopy the DAY BEFORE my WLS surgery date to find out what was going on. Low and behold, the colonoscopy found stage 3 colon cancer!!! So, my surgeon changed the surgery from a Gastric Sleeve to a colonectomy! Now, after 6-months of chemo, and 18 months of clear scans, i'm back to finish the job. Very thankful for my surgeon. Unfortunately my new insurance is requiring me to complete another 6-month weight monitoring, so the date will probably be Februaryish of next year. Can't wait.

I went shopping Saturday and bought a pair of size 20 jeans! Before starting this process, I was a solid size 28. Day of surgery I was a 24.

I remember holding up the size 20s and saying, “no way are these tiny things going to fit big old me!” But those suckers fit like a glove!

One month post op and I can’t wait for the NSVs to keep coming. 😄

I finally have one. Took the kiddos to Rye Playland this weekend. When I was a teenager, the first time I dealt with obesity, I couldn't fit on the Dragon Coaster and had to get off. It was crowded and I was humiliated. My daughter asked me to ride with her and I explained that this coaster was built in 1928 when people were a lot smaller and mom might not fit, so dad might have to step in. But surprise, surprise -- bar closed and an old demon was banished.
