  1. Is it okay to still be having pretty good pain after 8 days? I'm still needing pain meds in the evenings. I thought the pain would be waaay better by now? Dr. says this is normal.
  2. Looks like I'm going to have to manually manage the acid in my body by sipping lemon water all day, taking organic apple cider vinegar in distilled water mornings and evenings, and adding herbal tea digestive enzymes daily. Lemon water keeps your body alkaline naturally, apple cider vinegar kicks acid in the butt, and the herbal tea digestive enzymes aid with proper digestion.
  3. Today I tried good old fashion baking soda and water. I got instant relief.
  4. Omeprazole is crap! It never helped me. I also took Pepcid which isn't much better.
  5. I'm 7 days post op and down only 10 pounds. [emoji3]. They said this was really good. Maybe next week I'll lose more.
  6. Good morning! I am 7 days post op and on super bowl Sunday I weighed 220 lbs. this morning, I weighed 210.4
  7. So far, I've lost 6 pounds since Super Bowl Sunday.
  8. I'm only 5 days post op and even though I'm struggling to meet my liquids quota, I'm still giving it my best efforts. I just keep sipping. I'm still dealing with a lot of pain. Hopefully that will begin to subside this week.
  9. Put yourself first. Whatever is getting in the way of you getting you quota of fluids, kick it to the curb.
  10. I also cannot have a bowel movement. Been drinking "smooth move" herbal tea today and I just took a suppository.
  11. Thank you for that question and answer. I'm having the same problem and my surgery was 2/8
