  1. I've been doing "deli rolls" and they've been pretty good. I basically take a piece of lunch meat and slice of cheese and roll it up. You can try all kinds of meats and cheeses that work for you but I like the turkey and American and the ham and Monterey Jack the best. Also there are fruit cups and snack sized cheeses that I really enjoy and have worked well for me. Just be careful about the juice in the fruit because it could have a lot of sugar. Favorite Pureed Foods

I found a recipe for baked ricotta that was awesome: Mix 1 cup of Riccota cheese, 1/2 cup grated parmesan ( I didn't have any), 1/4 tsp dried Italian spices and a pinch of minced garlic (I used garlic powder). Put mixture in baking dish cover with 1 cup of marinara or pasta sauce and top with mozzarella. Bake at 400 for 25-35 minutes or until cheese begins to brown and bubble. I prepped this into plastic 3.5oz containers I found that were 4 for $1 at the Dollar Tree and was in bliss to have an Italian inspired dish that tasted so good and I was allowed to have in the pureed stage.

    Gagging and throwing up

I had that issue the first couple of days after surgery and every sip I took made me gag or vomit. I started taking super small sips and waiting 45-60 secs before the next and it helped tremendously. Once I was able to keep fluids down I did so much better and the vomiting stopped. Sometimes vomiting on an empty stomach makes bile come up which could also be what is happening. Also Prilosec helped a lot and I can tell the difference if I don't take it in the morning before eating or drinking anything. My surgeon requires me to take it for three months but my gastro doc had started me on it a while ago for GERD. He says it also helps the stomach heal. If you don't take a proton pump inhibitor (Prilosec, Zantac, etc) I would definitely ask your doctor about it. Hope this helps and if not at a minimum I would call your Dr's office or a nurse line cause they will have more insight. Good luck!!!

    Itchy!

I'm 17 days post and still itching but I also have patches of red bumps that itch really bad and some are around the incisions. Hope your stops soon!
  5. I was sleeved 4/11 and I still have gas and bloating (mainly from constipation) I also have itching and red rash with bumps that itch like the dickens around my incisions. Three incisions have completely healed and one I scratched the scab so the newest layer hasn't fallen off yet.

    How much time?

I work a desk job and planned to go back one week after surgery. I ended up waiting one more day, going back doing half days for two days and one full day. I was so exhausted by Friday I didn't have any energy and slept all day. You are going through a major surgery and you are not getting the calories your body is used to getting. Gas pains and nausea aside, your energy levels will be depleted. Definitely take the time to recover fully.

  8. I went home the next day about 24hrs after surgery. I would have been discharged earlier that day but my blood pressure was really high and they wanted to monitor it a little longer.

    New Sleever

I was sleeved 4/11 and excited about this journey as well. I had severe nausea the first two days and couldn't hold down any fluids. Now I'm having to remember to drink or eat broth. It's strange because I don't get hungry just weak if I go a hour or two without anything. Good luck everyone and I hope your recovery goes smoothly.

    April surgeries

I didn't check my weight for two days post op but I did pee a lot in those two days and most of it was from iv fluids. I would ask my doctor but it could just be that you've taken in more fluids than released. Hope you find relief soon!!!

    April 2017 sleevers?

I was sleeved 4/11! First two days were really bad with nausea but by day three I was able to get some fluids down. Just remember the trick to getting fluids to stay down is sip wait 30 s to 1 min and sip again. Trust me if you sip too fast or too much it will either hurt your pouch or come back up and you don't want that pain [emoji13][emoji15][emoji43] Good luck with your surgery and journey!!!! [emoji137]

  15. My primary doc started me on b vit shots and said that it will help with the weight loss. It definitely helps with energy which is lost from eating less.
