I was in the same boat. Try setting a timer. 1 - 2 small tiny sips every 10 minutes. I did this and it helped. I was not able to keep down Soup or anything else. I could only sip Water. I did this the first week and then the second week got easier.
I had tons of back pain, I could not stand up straight. What helped was a hot compress on my back and sitting in the shower with hot water running down.
I hope you get better soon!!!

I would suggest staying away from the scale too. My first month, I did not step on the scale. It was also because I was having a horrible recovery and did not care if I lost weight.

Congrats on making this decision. I am in Bed Stuy NYC. I was sleeved in March.

I was supposed to be out for 5 days, however I choose to add an additional 5 days.

Unfortunately, for some it is bad. I had it bad. I also do not regret it. With me being in pain 24/7, my views of this surgery and food have forever been changed. I will never want to do something like this again. This is a one time thing. This is my last shot and this painful. I think that if I had a smooth recovery, I would not really have been inclined to change my relationship with food that much. Now, I eat to live and I choose the best and most healthiest food I can find. That is because I do not want to go backwards. I want to continue going forward and finding new receipts and foods to try. It gets better I promise it does.

Oh it is normal. Lol I had a dream that was sooo real I thought I had eaten ice cream. My dream was me walking through a Supermarket and I cam to a giant freezer with every one of my favorite Edy's Ice Cream. I had a spoon. I opened each ice cream and took a spoonful and ate it. I then closed the ice cream and put it back neatly. I backed away slowly as to not get caught lol.
Our love of foods really play with our emotions lol.

It is okay. I had regret. I call it buyers remorse. It will make you rethink every life decision you made. However, I promise you being that I am 2 months post-op, it gets easier and you will feel better. Right now it is uncomfortable and the pain maybe unbearable but do know it gets betters. I do not regret it now at all.
Remember, this is a non refundable transaction, you cannot take it back. You can only think positive and push forward.

It took me 7-days to go. I had nothing but warm tea and hot baths. I would force myself to walk. I was not very happy because it was causing back pains. I also used a warm compress on my tummy to help relax and try to release some of the gas.

It is time for a vacation. I do agree that it gets tiring when people constantly ask you questions about your weight loss and what you eat? However, it is just people whom are curious.

This morning I woke up feeling like a dying plant. I was out of breath and completely exhausted. I had to drink Water. Once I did that I felt a lot better.
I am sorry to hear that you were diagnosis with Diabetes. I know many of us get the surgeries to help. I agree that it just might be the reason why you are feeling MEH.

To be honest, I weigh in twice a week. However, Sundays are my official weigh in days.

My nutritional limits are the following:
1) Carbs - Stay under 25g
2) Fat - Stay under 15g
3) Sugar - Stay under 15g
This was also catered to me from my Nutritionist. Every one is different though.
Rule of thumb. You should have 5g of Protein to every 1g of carbs. The more lean protein you intake the less carbs, sugars and fat you will intake as well.
An overage day for me is:
1) 50 - 70g of protein
2) 10g - 15g of carbs
3) 5 - 10g of fat
4) 5 - 10g of sugar
I hope this helps.

Well that's good. How long have you been talking to her. My suggestion is wait about 1 week after talking just to make sure that the chemistry is really there.

That is what I was thinking. She was the one who started the conversation with me which makes it weird she suddenly wouldn't be interested. It's not really evasive as much as just simple answers. She mentioned she had ambitions so I asked what they were and she said she is going back to school. I asked what she is going back to school for and she said to be an LPN. I thought these were questions that would generate more conversation. She hasn't asked me anything either. I just quit responding.I agree with @russdroppings. You should drop her. Any female that is not provided detailed answers are usually a waste of time. They are not truly interested. Do not waste your time or even try to make her open up.

My suggestion is locate a Bariatric Dating Site. I think they created one too. Also, go back in your comments, there was a woman that was interested in getting to know you better. It was a little ways ago but you never know.
-
@sgc - Still no luck. I have not been on for a little but I hoped that you would meet someone. I would say, try the group activities. Try a bariatric conference or meet up. I think meeting people whom are at the same point in their lives as you are and understand your struggle will help tremendously.

Not because I can't afford it size wise - I'm a DDD, but because they're already shaped like saggy watermelons (nipples point to the ground) and the more weight I lose in them, the more they'll look like inflated animal balloons that have been left in a hot car too long.

Oddly enough, I will have to admit that I enjoy reading those post. They are rather entertaining to see people be critical when they are behind a keyboard.

Three Week Post-Op Stall: Help!

I am sure you already know but watch your carbs too. That maybe holding you back. The general consensus is 20g of carbs or less. Also try tracking your food intake. This can give you a better idea on where you succeeding and where you need to work on.
Also remember, that you are still healing and your body is going crazy trying to take care of itself. Right now it won't be worried about weight loss. It is probably just holding onto the weight due to shock. Give it time, you will lose again. Also I stall for 1 week and lose big the next. Try to keep a weekly track of weight loss too. It actually helps you figure it your bodies partners.
Mines goes like this every month:
week 1: Major loss (3 - 4 lbs)
week 2: okay loss (2 - 3 lbs)
week 3: little weight loss (1 - 2 lbs)
week 4: barely any weight loss (0 - 1 lbs)
I hope this helps.
