  1. Thank you everyone.

I have spoken with a Surgeon here in NYC $14,000 for a Tummy Tuck. For Bariatric Hospital MX, they are asking for $11,000 for Tummy Tuck, Lipo and fixing my back.

All and all it is a lot of money, either way, I look at it. I thought it would be a lot cheaper at least almost $8,000 but I am still in the double digits here.

I have decided to do what my friends have been saying. Give my body another year or hardcore working out and weight training. They feel like it will help alleviate a lot of the fat and help tighten some of the loose skin.

  2. LOL you guys are too much. It is crazy, I gave up one vice for another lol. I gave up an unhealthy lifestyle for an active one. You want to know how bad it is....on my lunch break I workout again. Like who does that? I am addicted to the results man. So welcome, soon you will be over hear sneaking away from the family going.... I need to get my workout fix and scratching your arm.

  3. I have endometriosis as well. I did not have a hysterectomy as I am 26 and do not have children (What the Doctors say because I have tried getting one a lot). However, I have an IUD which helps with my period. Even with not having a period as much, I still get random pain in the area for about 1 week. I get a sharp stabbing pain like my period is coming on the left or right side of my pelvis.

Unfortunately, due to the damage that was done to my surrounding organs, I was advised that I would have pain randomly for the rest of my life. It is not much I can do about it. However, they have suggested that staying active does help alleviate the pain.

  4. If you have Instagram. A bariatric person that I follow name is: Jessica_vsg44. She just had surgery is Mexico like 2 weeks ago at the Bariatric Hospital in Mexico.

I am trying to stay close to where I live as not all my family can afford to come with me and they want to be there. They are also helping me pay for it. I would have cost me $11,000 (Extended Tummy Tuck and liposuction) but since I had my surgery with a partnered doctored, it will cost me $9,200. Inflation of the NYC expensive lifestyle.

  5. I am not a diabetic. I was becoming close to a pre-diabetic but my father is a type 2. He did not take care of himself and now has issues seeing, and has almost lost his foot. He got really sick when I was a teenager but when he started losing his sight in 2014, that is when I decided to try and make a change.

If you are getting the surgery to solely prevent diabetes or help to control it, you may end up miserable. This journey is hard and it is not an easy path to take no matter what other people may say. You have to want this to be a healthier you across the board. You have to want it, so that your joints don't hurt, or you tie your sneaker without having to pull on the bottom of your pants. So you can be more active and hopefully not need insulin ever again. You have to want it for more than one reason because those reasons will be your anchor to keep going when you want to give up.

If you have strongly tried everything, I am biased so I will say do it. It does give you your life bike in more ways than you can ever imagine. It definitely helps with Diabetes (when the program is followed properly), and it is the best decision I have ever made.

  6. These are called 3-week stalls. They happen randomly. Some patients see them within the first month. Others see them around the 3rd month, 6th month or 9th month.

They will happen multiple times during the course of your weight loss. Once the stall breaks, you will see a drop in weight.

  7. Your journey is moving. I am so happy that both of you are able to overcome such a hurdle. Being willing and strong enough to take back your lives like that are inspiring. I personally did not experience it but I was an SVVA advocate when in college. I specialized in child sexual abuse and how it can affect into adulthood. I also specialized in Domestic Violence. I saw and heard so many things that changed and shaped my world and how I treated people.

See we judge people and treat people unfairly not understanding what is going on in their homes or what is happening to them. That single smile or feeling of safety means so much more than any of us who lived a carefree life will ever understand.

I hope you find that peace as you deserve it.
