  1. So I have come to the conclusion that I have a racer back gym shirt problem. I keep buying more shirts and they are soo cute and they make me feel cute. I am still kicking butt on my workouts and I have decided to end Keto for now. I have been stressing a lot about food and unfortunately, I hold on to weight that way. It is time to go back to just being mindful of what I eat and how much.

Although I look great in clothing, I wanted to show what my body looks like outside of it. My stomach is sagging lower than before I lost weight. My arms are sagging and my breast have deflated.

With that being said, I would not go back and change anything. I would not give up being able to jump, bike, go shopping easily and feel comfortable in clothes for anything. I would not trade this confidence or happiness. I am soo a peace with myself and my body. The aches that I feel are from soreness of pushing my body, than from being too heavy that my body cannot handle the weight.

This journey has saved my life in more ways than I could ever imagine. I do not hide from the world anymore. I do not hide from people. I go out and want to explore. I meet new people. I have been freed from the burdens my weight had placed on me mentally and physically.

With being said, "I LOVE MY IMPERFECTLY PERFECT BODY!!"

@Newme17 You are right. When it came to Keto, I was stressing out a lot about carbs. That was the hardest part and I noticed that I started feeling anxiety when shopping for foods. Especially, since I stay away from cakes and cookies. I need my fruits and I was limited there as well. Even though I stopped Keto, I will keep some great aspects from it. I have completely cut out bread and flour tortillas. Rice is only a 1/4 cup once every 2 weeks.

I am with you. If for some reason, I cannot pay to have the skin removed when I am ready to cross that bridge, then so be it. My skin is my journey. Each tiger strip or roll is my badge of honor.

Yes. It is now time for me to enjoy my life. Just enjoy brining able to move easily and effectively.

@Thejeweledsleeve I just tried to hit the reply button, or what I thought was the reply button, and hit the report button instead. Geez. Anyway, I was laughing at your needing to pull your leg up using your pant leg to tie your shoes. I can so relate to that situation. I also relate to struggling with the keto diet. I miss having fruit. I think as long as I keep my calories under 1000, I should be able to add a peach here and there.

  2. So when I say my hair is coming out....I mean it. Please view the picture below. Each ball is from a side of my head. Honestly, I still have a ton of hair left on my head. I did not know I had that much hair.

I went to Wendy's with my mom and got a Jr. Cheeseburger (no-bun). They put that little burger in a huge container lol. I was like, yall know you could have given it to me in a fries holder lol.

Here is my dog thinking that he is a human.  He climbed under my cover and went to sleep. This dog is too much lol.

Have you tried taking Biotin? I have been taking 10,000 mcg's since well before surgery. Maybe you can ask your doctor about it?

I have been taking biotin religiously. My surgeon said its not normal but unfortunately it happens.

I noticed that I now have a big booty. Lol. I do not know where the butt came from but in this video, I got caught showing it off lol

  5. Sorry I have not been around much for the Month of May. It has been a busy month. I am trying to buy my first investment property, as a well as my workload picking up. Some things that I changed. I bought dresses. I continue to work a lot. I am now known as a "Gym Rat" which I wear proudly. I dyed my hair blonde because I was bored.

  6. The left was me just doing cardio. I was losing weight and was down to 189 lbs in this picture. The right is mainly weight lifting and HIIT. In this picture I weigh 195 lbs. I have come to the conclusion that I may not reach my weight goal but I am definitely reaching my body goals.

@FluffyChix Keep up the good work with doing your PT. It took over a year to get back mobility in the my ankle. Unfortunately, I will never have full mobility but I am 80% there and that is okay. Using their gym works because you have trained and certified staff members.

      Newme17

I didn’t pay any attention to my diet over the holidays, nor have I worked out and I managed to lose about 5lbs. I’m still not paying too close (strict) attention, but I will be working out again once the kiddos are back in school. So, I’m quite sure, I’ll see a fluctuated scale number (if I actually checked). My goal, change my physique. I’ve gotten a bit jelly here. Lol you posting your pics is inspiring to me. I love seeing the transformation. I will do the same in the near future and hopefully it’ll help someone else out.

  8. With a new year, I need to take accountability for some of my actions which are preventing me from losing weight. I have started grazing again. I have been slacking on my meal prep and have been depending on outside food. I have not been keeping up with my water intake. I am not waiting 30 minutes before or after eating to drink water.

I have been eating way more fruits and processed package foods than I should. I am not eating my proteins first and then veggies.

Also, I have been downing halo top like crazy when I buy it.

With that being said, I am going to get back on track. I am still exercising like crazy but you cannot out exercise bad eating habits.

I am going to drink protein shakes as breakfast and dinner since I do not eat much during those times. I am going to use lunch as my main meal, with a high protein and veggie lunch.

    1. Sleeve1stFitNext

I like that...cannot out exercise bad eating habits...TRUTH! That’s what I was lying to myself about getting back in the gym. Smh. Wow. Thanks for posting this.

Picture had me forgetting about my loose skin and that was amazing. I never thought I would have the confidence to take a picture like this or ever thought I would look like this. My body is coming together nicely. I will take loose skin and smile over being obese and unhealthy any day!!

  10. Hi Guys,

    More updates lol:

3/30 - Went to the hospital to check for blood clots. I was getting massive cramps and pressure in my calves muscles. I do not have any blood clots, however I was moderately dehydrated and had to be filled with liquids before I left. The Doctor's also said I was potassium deficient. They reached out to my Surgeon and he suggested that I move on to the pureed stage and eat a 1/4 of a banana smashed up really good. As of now, my legs are not hurting.

3/31 - Had to request an additional 4 days off of work due to the what happened yesterday. I have a follow up appt on 4/4. I am hoping that everything will be good and I can advance to full pureed foods.

    1. Newme17

      Newme17

Glad it's all well after all. Keep on working it and take care of you're self. Reminds me to start eating some bananas as well.

    2. Sleeve1stFitNext

      Sleeve1stFitNext

Thank you. I did not think about bananas and potassium. I was like my legs hurt all the time and what is going on. I had never really had that problem because I would eat a banana 3 times a week. I am not a really big fan of bananas.

    3. Newme17

      Newme17

I am not either. Takes a lot for me to want to eat a banana. But for the sake of health, I'll do it too. 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌

  11. 5/24 - Got a full 8 hours of sleep:69_zzz:. I woke up feeling amazing:D. Went to the gym and today was weight lifting. We were working on arms. I BARELY sweat at the gym but today, I was sweating puddles. The start of my workout, my knees were sweating.

He hd me doing knee raises. I was sliding of the machine because of the sweat lol. I could hold myself up 10 seconds at a time. That was enough to lift my knees and then bring them back down. Then I had to do 10 minutes of the rowing machine that has water. He was yelling "ROW!! ROW!!". I look over at him<_< like: Yell in my ear one more time and I am going to ROW!! your ass across this floor lol. I guess he took the hint from my face and started whispering "ROW"

I ate a tuna salad from Subway. No additional dressing. This subway uses a small (1/2) scooper. I will admit a shocking fact but hey, I am human but I ate a whole Turkey Roll with no cheese. It took 6 hours but I did it. lol

I'm so jealous of your gym time right now. I'd have to say enjoy it! Haha! The row machine is the best. I was doing 30 mins on it, very hard workout, but always feeling great afterwards. You might feel like you can conquer the world afterwards. Ha!

    3. Sleeve1stFitNext

      Sleeve1stFitNext

@Sweet as peaches Awww thank you!! You will get there and it will the most amazing feeling. That confidence to give a trainer the look, really shocked me. 1 year ago, I would have been like, "Okay. I am rowing." lol all while whispering it.

@Newme17 The gym time has been awesome. Honestly, I did not realize how much I missed it until i was weight lifting. That Row machine is a killer. My shoulders are still sore from that workout. That means it is working and I am loving it.

  12. Got on the scale today. Lost 8.4 lbs in 5 days. Idk if this is healthy or right but I do know that I am not hungry and excited that for once my hard work is paying off!!!!

    1. Newme17

      Newme17

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I don't have a sleeved stomach now, but I know when the surgeon/nut says "DO THIS, DO THAT, DON'T DO...." I'll follow it. But it'll be a battle and it's all going to be in the head! I won't let the negative thoughts/deception rule me. I say this, because when we think we're hungry, "head hunger" it's really deception. I don't like being deceived and won't allow it from even myself. LOL

    2. Newme17

      Newme17

I also have this feeling that I'm going to be a speaker/advocate of healthy eating/living at some point. So, I need to have it together so I can help and encourage others too.

    3. Sleeve1stFitNext

      Sleeve1stFitNext

I agree with you. My head hunger really tries to get me. My addiction to junk food always rears its ugly head when I less expect it. I have to slap my hand and shake it off. I will be say, "NO!! Teeara. No!!"

My surgeon told me this when I first met him, "Life is not about control, it is about choice. You cannot control how you feel or what you "want" to eat, however you do have choice to make a difference in yourself."

When ever I see junk food, I make the choice to stay away. It feels better when you have the power to choice another option.

  13. 5/5 - I cooked my asparagus, provolone stuffed chicken. I added a picture. I went to the gym (crunch-his gym) with my boyfriend and embarrassed myself. There was a huge dude, built like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his younger years. I was thinking how does he wipe his butt lol. I kept staring at him. I ended up tripping over my own feet and flew off the treadmill into the back wall. I have some scrapes and soreness but I am good. My bf got me a ice pack and proceeded to scold me for staring. He said, "That's what you get for staring at people and not focusing." I said, "Can you blame me? I have never seen someone that huge in my entire life." He just laughed. He checked my head to make sure that I did not hit it. He then took me to Red Mango so I could some frozen yogurt on my bruised ego.

  14. 4/19 - Had a protein shot which was 15 grams of protein for breakfast. Had 1/2 grill chicken broken up into 4 small meals, with two pieces of steamed broccoli each. Premier Protein shake for dinner. Total 65g protein, 2g sugar, 9g of carbs, 6g of fat. I also have not stepped on a scale since my 2 week post op. I am starting to worry that I am either stalling or have gained weight. I am sure that I am just overreacting, however I weigh in Friday when I see my NUT. I am hoping that I have lost weight.

i'm just a newbie....but i anticipate my friendships will be better.....my friends were always sad for me that i was so down on myself. not sure how the "fun things " and "not drinking as much or at all" will affect them - we'll see...

    3. Sleeve1stFitNext

      Sleeve1stFitNext

@Ash44 I hope that all your friends are extremely supportive. We deserve to have those people there whom saw us struggle and saw how hard we worked and needed this.

I thought the same thing. I figured because these people saw me struggling with loosing weight for years and how much I wanted so badly to get healthy, that they would be there throughout. I think that this only weeds out the "Friends" whom are really not on your team. Those are the best people to lose because the ones that are there no matter what are the ones that are the truest.

  16. 5/1 - Well I had an eventful day. I signed up for the Hello Fresh (like Blue Apron or Fresh Direct) today. I get my first shipment Saturday, I am so excited. I was not able to get Applebees, they were packed today. Went to Buffalo Wild Wings and ordered a grill chicken salad. Ordered a quesadilla and just ate the stuff inside. Finally recorded my week video for my youtube channel. I have just have to edit it and post it. Found out that I and my shift's productivity is the highest in my department. I supervise the night shift and I am to the point where I am not willing to rotate. The am shift is horrible and they will drive to me eat unhealthy. I cannot with them.

  17. 5/12 - Took my dog buddy (nickname: Rasta Scoobs) to the groomers. I spent most of the time talking with my bestie Bitty (Brittany). She is my hetero-life mate. She has been on this strict diet program for over a year and have lost over 100 lbs. I am soo proud of her because she achieved something that was very hard for her to do. She made correlation between her diet and my surgery that made me laugh. She, "We both have to eat low carb, high protein, smaller plate diets with exercise and the possibility of weight regain. The only difference is, you are physically forced to eat smaller." Lol. I was trying on bathing suites and sending her pictures and she is the most honest person I know. She is like your tummy is going down!! But girl that bathing suite does not suite you lol. Drank a ton of water. I am starting to feel energetic. I think I was dehydrated.
