  1. C 184 (-45 total, -2 this week) 5 more lbs and I will be in the 170s and be 50 lbs down, cant wait! That is my goal for July!
  2. You will find that at times your weight will continue to fluctuate, but overall it will be a downward trend! Congrats on your first 9 lbs gone!
  3. I've never had a problem with it since the day I was banded. I used to suffer horrid reflux.
  4. I am in, but doubt I will make 11 lbs. I am at 185 right now (as of yesterday) and that would put me down to 174 on Aug. 5. I have been losing about 4-6 lbs a month, but maybe if I can increase cardio and exercise I can AT LEAST lose more than 5.....even if it is not the full 11, lol!
  5. Amy, Are yall going to Mexico a few days early or just the day before? I dont want to miss sending you some last minute hugs, prayers, and well wishes!
  6. I really think it depends on how much overweight you have been, how long you were at that weight, age, and genetics. I have heard that anywhere you have stretch marks the skin has already stretched past its elasticity limit, and will not shrink back entirely. I have no problem with any loose skin anywhere, but I am still 40 lbs above goal.
  7. Put it wherever it hurts worst! Seriously, I put it on both, whichever was bothering the most at the time. Hope you feel better soon, the first few days can be rough. Hang in there.
  8. "...it is 20% the band and 80% you’re doing. I truly took that to heart. I believe at that moment I was hooked on changing my lifestyle. I am not going to live to eat anymore. I am going to eat to live. I am on the road to becoming healthy and enjoying it too." This revelation was the key to your success! Thanks for the reminder and inspiration! I loved this post on OH and I love it here!
  9. Angie, you lost 50 lbs with ONE fill! Get back on the bandwagon, get proper restriction, and you will melting again in record time! You have actually done awesome already, halfway there!
  10. John, I love the tat! What a great daily reminder of how your dedication and hard work have gotten you so far. Girls, the FUPA stuff cracks me up!!! Its great to come here and start my day off with a laugh as well as motivation!
  11. I will add my Kudos to her dedication! She deserves acknowledgment for her commitment to working out and getting healthy and hot looking!!! I can hardy stand taking my walks outside with the heat and humidity here, and that girl just works it in spite of everything!
  12. That's wonderful that it isnt a slip!!!! Keep the positive attitude up, it will help you make it until August! Have tons of fun on that rafting trip also, sounds like fun!
  13. So I get it....this thread gets plenty of action and will always be at the top. I guess it was the other threads I was wondering about. But I see the need for them to available to anyone researching or etc... and should not get lost in the shuffle.
  14. Okay, I have a question regarding the criteria for making threads a "sticky". The thread has to be of "perrienial and general interest". Why are the threads for BMI over 50 and Slow Losers Unite considered of general interest? They also apply to only a select portion of bandsters, not the general membership. I dont mind saving this to favorites, I am just curious.
  15. Drink a few for me! I am a lightweight any more. So maybe just have one or two for me!
  16. "Sip like a gerbil-Gnaw like a rabbit" You crack me up! Plus you named your band Sybil?....you are too funny! Glad you are feeling better, it is definitely an ongoing learning experience!
  17. My weakness is bread and carby food. I love good southern cooking: bisquits and gravy, BBQ and potato salad, etc... It got worse when we moved down here by the Tex/Mex border 5 years ago. A group of us go eat lunch out every single day. I ended up adding chips and salsa, tortillas, beans, and rice daily to an already unhealthy diet and gained from 170 to 220 in about 4 years. "Dieted" my way up and down and back up to 230, lol.
  18. I love you guys! Your advice helped me get over a hump! Ok, TOM is over and I off my pity party throne, lol!!! I did everything suggested.....went on all Protein (shakes, ff cottage cheese, etc) for Wed and Thurs. Went walking for 45 min Wed, Thurs, AND this morning. I am happy to say that my scales budged! I had gone from 186 to 187-188 and this morning it was steady at 185!
  19. Alice, Is that Dr. Cardenas? I am looking into TT and lift also. I have 40 lbs to go but I am already trying to plan ahead. I had my lapband done in Monterrey with Dr. Sanchez and was planning on going back when it comes time for PS. I am glad you are so happy with the results! I want a nice flat belly again too!!!
  20. I like to take my 45 min morning walk before breakfast! I usually do that just because it is so darn hot here, but I have wondered if makes any difference on burning more fat calories.
  21. My fills have been totally painless. Doc injects a tiny numbing shot first and I dont feel a thing. Does your doc not numb it first?
  22. You had me to the very end! LMAO
  23. Welcome to Bandland! Happy Losing!
  24. Ditto what Diane said! PNut has a heart of gold!
