  1. I really like the Walk Away The Pounds dvd also. It has simple steps that are easy to follow, almost a combo of low impact aerobics and walking. I picked one of them up on eBay and a friend gave the 3 mile one.
  2. Gosh Sherry, I dont know what to say that everyone else hasnt already said. There could be a 100 different reasons he would be acting this way, and I am sure that someone here has already hit the nail on the head. I just want to tell you to hang in there and vent as much or as often as you need to, that IS what we are here for.

Oh, Leener....I am so relieved for you!
  4. Christy, I think the soup is one of those things that burns as many calories during the digestion process as it contains. So not truly "no calorie". I got all my groceries and will start tomorrow!
  5. I love the Subway wraps. The turkey wrap has only 190 calories and 24g protein. Low carb also, I just cant remember offhand the exact number. They are a really good choice.
  6. Heather,,,,,,you look freaking fabulous!!! That haircut is supercute on you! Wow, just incredible!
  7. I love refried beans! I get the fatfree kind and they do have 21g carb per half cup BUT they have 8 g protein and 7 g fiber! I love them with salsa, fatfree sour cream, or cheese.
  8. Egg drop soup is wonderful, filling, high protein, and low carb!
  9. Has anyone noticed that they stall or plateau at a weight that they were previously stuck on for a while? I was stuck at 190 for a year or two and stalled out for about month when I hit 190. I also hovered at 165 for about 2 years, and am wondering if I will plateau when I get to 165. Has anyone noticed a connection between previous "setpoint weights" and stalls?
  10. Good Luck! I will be sending prayers your way!
  11. Go for it!!! It sounds like just what you want! Congrats!

Hey Amy!!! Have you found anything that works without leaving you feeling like crap the next day? I am getting a little frustrated with the sleep deprivation, lol.
  13. A1ikou, WTH are you doing up at this hour, lol! (irony there, since i am also up). I think it is just water retention from traveling! You will be back down in a few days. There is no way you could have gained that much actual weight in a matter of days. It sounds like you did good on the eating. Dont fret, it will surely drop right back down.

I have been suffering from horrid insomnia. Now that I am off work on summer break I am waking up by AT LEAST 5:30, if I am lucky enough to sleep in that late, lol. We BBQued yesterday and had company....so I cleaned house beforehand for about 3 hours. Swept, mopped, vacuumed, cleaned and bleached all 3 bathrooms, etc...then played in the pool for 2 hours. I should have slept like a baby, but I was awake at 3:30, wide awake!! Does anyone else have this problem? I have suffered from insomnia all my life and have yet to find something that doesnt leave me with a "sleeping pill hangover". What can I take for this? Something has gotta give.
  15. Damn right sick outlook.............so negative! I wanted to say "sorry" that comment sounds so hateful. However, you do have such a negative disappointed outlook on this. I lose an average of just under 6 lbs a month and I am thrilled with it! That is about 1.5 lbs per week. I lost only 6 lbs the entire first month. I dont consider myself a failure at all. I have lost 43 lbs now, that is very successful to me! I wish you could be happy for yourself over your loss, not disappointed that it hasnt been more, or been more consistent.
  16. Alysha, I keep thinking about this, lol. I assume your surgeon doesnt feel that there would be any problems, issues, or complications in doing the lipo at the time of banding since his staff referred you to the lipo doc (although the price seems unreasonable). It is obviously important to you or you wouldnt have inquired with your surgeons office in the first place. I said I would probably go for it for several reasons. You will already be at the hospital. You will already be paying for the hospital fees, operating room, anesthesia, etc... You have already rearranged your work schedule. You will already be taking pain meds, if needed. Lipo on such a small area is usually an outpatient procedure anyway. If your doctor doesnt feel that there are any problems doing both procedures at the same time you really just need to go with your own instincts and not listen to us (me included!)!
  17. MelAnne, you have lost 28 lbs in 2 months? You are doing fabulous! I dont think most of us lose a consistent amount EVERY week. I think it is normal to lose a few lbs one week and then nothing every once in a while. Your body plays catch-up to the loss and then you start losing again. The overall trend will still show a loss. Hang in there!

186.5 lbs The weight seems like it is coming off at a snails pace now. I guess it really isnt so bad. I started June at 190, so I have lost 3.5 lbs these last 2 weeks. I have 8 weeks of summer break left, I hope I can drop 12 more before school starts. I guess that will be my new goal......174lbs by August 15 (which is my 14th anniversary!).

  20. I think I would do it. It is highly unlikely that you will regain fat in the chin area as you are losing weight. Since this is something you want done anyway, I would think it would be nice to recover from both at the same time and just have the anesthesia ONCE.
  21. Okay Amy, see what you started, lol! I am going to get the ingredients and other foods tomorrow and start on this Wednesday, since Wednesdays are my Gone For Good weigh in days. I will update yall when I get started. I will be curious to see how this works for me since I dont lose weight very fast. I am a little concerned about the fruit days with my diabetes.....do you think it would matter if I did veggies on those days also?
  22. Congrats PinkMary!!! We want pics!
  23. I didnt have to do any pre-op diet, just nothing but liquids from Midnight the day before surgery.
  24. I say take it back also. My digital doesn't vary over .5 lbs. I can weigh 3 times and get 186.5, 187, and 187. (or 187,187,187) Pretty darn accurate, but mine only has half lb increments.
  25. I cant chugalug down an entire bottle in less than 5 minutes like before, but I can definitely drink an entire bottle in say 10-15 minutes.
