    Lack of support...

Thanks for all your advice, I think I will set boundaries and not take anyone's crap! I did this for ME. I'm gonna ignore all negativity and just DO ME. [emoji182]. P.s if they still chose to mess with me...I will tell them to kiss my shrinking ass!
  2. When I first told my very close friend I was thinking about getting the sleeve she called me a "cheater", said I was taking the easy way out.( she herself is struggling with her weight) Because of that statement I was on the fence about surgery for 6 months. When I decided to get the surgery I didn't tell her until 3 days before. ( I was trying to stay in a positive frame of mind.) By NO means did I take the easy way out. This journey has been the toughest yet, with the recovery, chronic constipation, making sure I'm drinking, getting my protein and my vitamins. Now it seems like every time I talk to her she is trying to sabotage my progress. I love her to death, but her negativity is a real downer. Without being rude, how do you deal with negative people? I'd like to addi had no health issues before surgery, I was just tired of being fat and tired.
  3. I used to keep everything..my fat clothes, my skinny clothes and the ones that actually fit. Lol. I LOVE getting rid of my fat clothes and realizing that I will NEVER be that size again! Currently I'm getting into a lot of my skinny clothes, but every month or so I get rid of the stuff that doesn't fit, I take it to the second hand shop. With every donation they give me a voucher for 30% percent off, so I try and pick up a few items.
  4. You look amazing. Keep up the hard work. I can't wait till I am at your stage! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Anxiety over surgery procedure.

I was on the fence about this for about 9 months. I went to all the classes required by Kaiser and I did lose some weight. I kept saying I didn't need it. (I was scared) but in the end I decided that I needed this for ME. That I needed to put on my 'big girl' pants ( no pun intended) and do it! It's the best decision I have ever made. Try meditating before surgery, that's what helped me. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  7. I agree with MissKay and boilernos ..but I'd like to add that if you develop a fever or it's warm to the touch, you should also call your doctor. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Hard time drinking

Try munching on ice chips, that helped me. Also you can try warm Water by tablespoonful every 5 minutes or so...I know it's a drag and hard work but it does get easier. Hang in there! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Lemon

Hi, I asked my dr. about lemon and citrus today. She told me not for 6 months. Lemon juice diluted with Water was okay but not straight juice. I had my sleeve on 12/13/16 . Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
