So I am still a bit worried because I can eat 5.4 oz pkg of Greek Yogurt and 1/4c cream of wheat Cereal which was my dinner tonight. Do you hit like a hard stop when you try to eat too much? I really am trying to be aware of one but not really getting that full feeling at all. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

@@Charisma - I saw your greek yogurt post. I will say that I can easily eat 5-6oz of yogurt (5 months post-op) but if I eat 3-4oz of chicken I am totally stuffed - like I know my limit stuffed. You will get to that full feeling but for me - yogurt never made me feel FULL. I hope that makes sense.

@"Charisma", I am hoping to lose about 110 lbs, so we are right in the same ballpark with our weight loss goals. I lost 7 lbs in the first week post op, and 11 lbs during the one week liquid pre-op. In this second week post op, I only lost 3 lbs, but I am not complaining. Doing god so far.

You just made my day Finding Carrie! I really am looking forward to that feeling as odd as it sounds. Let's be recovery buddies and I can learn from your trail blazing a week ahead of me. I want to lose 120lbs to get to my goal. My surgeon recommends full liquids for 2 weeks post surgery and I am just dying to chew something at this point! I just reached my pre-surgical weight yesterday from all the fluids and swelling from the procedure I am sure and I am ready to see those numbers finally drop for good now! So I agree that I have been exceedingly lucky with my recovery but I had absolutely no problems returning to work yesterday 1/30 after being sleeved Friday 1/27. I think the first 6 hours after surgery were the worst as they tried to get on top of my post-op pain but once they did it was a pretty quick recovery and by Sunday I was off all my pain and nausea meds. I was lucky in that I didn't require any hernia repair and I am sure that's part of why my fluids go down with no problems. I actually don't feel hardly any restriction yet and was wondering if she actually removed enough stomach but from reading others' stories on here, they say I will feel it more as I progress into more solid foods. Not trying to brag or anything just wanted to offer people who tend to recover well from surgery some hope. To me this was about like recovery from my gallbladder surgery that was also done laproscopically 2 years ago.

@"Charisma", I was sleeved on 1/17, and I told my husband 3 days after that I didn't think the doctor took out any of my stomach because I had absolutely no problems drinking, or taking any of my pill medications. Then i started my soft food stage, and BAM! There was the restriction I had read so much about. I can only fit about 2oz of cottage cheese, yogurt, or anything really right now. I assume this is going to get even tougher as I progress in to more dense foods, but I was so happy to finally feel that restriction.

So I was sleeved Friday and honestly feel fine tonight, just a bit sore in the stomach like I did too many crunches. I can easily drink liquids and even eat 5.4oz of Greek yogurt in one sitting. I sure hope I get the restriction feeling when I start solids or else this will all be for nothing because right now I honestly can't tell the difference.

I had my sleeve done Friday and was planning on return to work Monday but preoperatively decided to give myself one extra day so will return Tuesday instead. That being said, I actually felt well enough today that I probably would be fine on Monday but will enjoy some quiet time with kids in school and hubby at work. I think binge watching Netflix is just the thing for my recooperation

I wish you all the best! I'm now 9 days out from surgery and honestly feel better than i did before surgery. I have experienced improvements in all the pre op pains i had, for example back pain. I'm so unbelievably happy that i did this! I am sure you will do great too!

All this encouraging info makes me so much less scared. Thank you! I am scheduled for my sleeve tomorrow morning at 6:30 and I am praying for a recovery like you all have had. I have lost 16lbs just since the first of the year and hope to lose 100 over the course of this year post op.

I took off 3 days after surgery and I was fine. I have a desk job but walk a lot on construction sites. Dr told me 2 weeks but I was fine after a few days.

I wasn't in any pain really, and I wasn't nauseous because I wasn't eating, only Water and the Cytosport Protein Water. I just took it easy, walked around every couple hours. Just do band or lift anything. I think it helped me, because laying in bed for 4 days was getting to me.

Going through this pre-op diet I've asked myself multiple times that maybe I should just do this for a few months and avoid the surgery, but I know I'd gain it all back in due time. Went from almost 400 down to 265 by living at the gym, and then slowly crept back up to almost 350. I'm tired of the yo-yo. Been overweight since I was a kid and I'm ready to be done with it.

I had surgery 1/11/17. I went back to work on Tuesday 1/17/17. Office job, but I walk around alot. As long as your surgeon cleats you, I don't see why not. I feel great...

I'm a teacher and also work from home. I'm on vacation from the first till February 22 (and if I wasn't I would get a month paid leave). My surgery was last Tuesday and I plan to start working from home again tomorrow. I can rest if I need to and whenever I need to.

I'm in New Orleans, it's about the same. I'm having it at a surgery center and the cost was about the same 11.9K. Maybe we can be sleeve buddies
