How long did you wait for a baby??

Well, I will be happy to share with you my weight tracking here it is: Pre surgery(size 18 W weight 221; Surgery June 05 From June 05 to January 07 had lost near 100 pounds. Was 127-130 became a size 4-5; Got pregnant February 07 137 lb, band was fully opened and with out restriction for pregnancy term....ballooned up to 204 ( I ate like it was going out of style...I do not encourage anyone to do this); had baby on September 10th 2007. I let 4 months go by before a fill, I returned to work and had one fill on January 08....so from 207 pounds at delivery I have lost 45 pounds; now at 162 lb or so and have some vomiting issues...perhaps band not well fit, but over all that's the best I have done. I see my self in June down to a size 7 again. I had my tubes cut, so no mo'babies, I have a 13 year old ...and after a divorce in 05, 3 years late I met my new husband and we now have a baby girl...he had never had any kids, so I had my daughter, I am 33, he is 27... this year is "plastic surgery time" for me...if all goes as planned. hope this helps you and anyone expecting...its a joyful time enjoy your pregnancy and forget everything else (Oh! and becareful withthe throwing up thing ...it can cause some painful swelling of the band area....)....when you are ready to seriously start loosing again:thumbup:, you will do just that! don't forget to walk a lot all the way to full term, it will help you tremendously when delivery time comes....! If you need any further help ...just ask!
  3. Marion: Sometimes the good Lord may tell you that somethings are not for everyone, I know you don't want obesity and you certsinly want the weight loss, but just think about this; rather you know now that you are not a good candidate and no more bands,,,or you can seriously put your life in risk with infections and other erosions, abcess, don't do it any more, I pray for your recovery, I know its hard to accept the failure of this Lap-Band, but your beuty comes from with in, there are other methods. I'll keep you in my prayers. Orlando, FL , Laura
  4. My daughter is 6 months old and I had a wondderful pregnancy as far as eating, I had it completely un-rest. I was 134 lb before preg. then went up to 207 on delivery...now 6 mths. later I am 167...and one fill, I have some vomiting issues, but it may be band not properly filled right... I cut my tubes so no mo' babies. Plastic Surg. for me this year ...TT this year and perhaps new boobs!!! Once I hit a size 4 again...keep walking okay! Congrats!

  6. Don't feel like you are cheating; I had my surgery 2 years ago and had great sucess! lost 120 lb. then after 3 years a baby came to us this past september I put on 58 lbs. on thru the pregnancy; there were plenty of times I cheated by eating the soft foods, milk shakes etc, in the first two years, but in the end when I got on the scale; I could only blame one person alone. After the baby; this january I had one fill, so far loosing again steady...but I "cheat" sometimes...we are human...do not forget to incorporate exercise...buy a treadmill and place a TV in front of it...by the time Dr. Phill was over or some other show...I had walked an hour! that has been my great sucess tool. I hope the best for you....and remember it all depends on your effort. I went from a 18W to a size 4, this year since there will be no more children; I will get a tummy tuck and a boob job as well; once I am back to my normal weight! So press on!!!
  7. Thank you Molly; I had great success with the band for 2 years prior to the baby, believe me I was so happy being a size 4 (from a 18W). However it is now that I have the non-passing food issue, and the reflux and all these other issues, I frankly thought...I might as well go get it even tigher and eat even less...then I will loose even more...believe me over these 3 years I have gotten to be an expert on this band thing...but since the pregnancy...something is definetely not right.... Laura
  8. After 2 years post surgery ( from 18W to a size 4) I lost 120 lbs. then last year got pregnant; start pregnancy weight was 137...ballooned up to 207 upon delivery and now 6 months later post pregnancy-and one fill ( was completely deflated during pregnancy) I have gone down to 167 lbs...I vomit 6-8 times per week:thumbdown:, and can not tolerate much of anything...Looks like band slipage maybe to blame...Having a miserable time trying to eat, I mostly don't eat...but I desperately want to get back to a size 6 ...Any good sugestions?
