  1. Ok, I am nearly 1 month post sleeve op and have noticed that I have completely lost all interest in food. Food used to be the love of my life and now just the thought of eating makes me sick. Is this normal. Lapband Nov 2013 Lapband Removed Sept 2016 Gastric Sleeve Jan 10th 17

    January 2017 Sleevers!

Hi, all I packed was nighties.. bras for me was a def no no as there is an incision right near your bra line in the middle. And it's a lot easier to lift up ur nighties to go to the toilet then try to bend down to pull pants down. Lapband Nov 2013 Lapband Removed Sept 2016 Gastric Sleeve Jan 10th 17

    Any Aussie sleevers?

My surgeon told me that if there was anything wrong you would know. You always have the what ifs in the back of your mind, but the trick is just keep it there . That is probably why I wanted to stay in hospital for the full 4 days. Just to make sure. But you will be fine and it will all be over before you know it. It's all downhill from now! Any Aussie sleevers?

One week from surgery, to feel almost human for me. I still get a little light headed and energy less, you just need to have a rest every now and again. Lapband Nov 13 - Removed Sept 16 Gastric Sleeve Jan 16

    Any Aussie sleevers?

Hi, I am an Aussie Sleever. 12 days post op. Starting to get very sick of Soups and liquids. I hated Soup before this, so I doubt I will ever eat soup again after all this. Every day gets better. I felt like absolute shit for the first week, but after that it gets better. I stayed in hospital for 4 days, cause I wasn't leaving until I felt %100 ready in myself. The nurses did try nicely to push me out but my surgeon was fantastic and said it was up to me when I felt good enough to leave. Everyone one is different and their bodies react differently. I originally had lap band surgery and it malfunctioned and twisted and caused bad reflux and everything was getting stuck. I have lost the same amount of weight in 3 weeks as I did with the 2 years of Lapband. So in the next couple of days I can start purée food. Yay. Thick soup.. lol 2 more weeks and home free to start my new way of eating. Pinterest has been getting a work out in preparation.. so many yum recipes.. January 2017 Sleevers!

I had my sleeve done on Jan 10th, Jan 11 was full of #decisionregret. But I am all good now. I stayed in hospital for about 4 days on IV fluids. Could not easily tolerate fluids for a few days but now I'm going good. I am on a 2 weeks post op diet of clear fluids, Water and chicken broth.. the chicken broth was foul so I am just living on 1200mls of water and 1 tsp of cup of Soup with 150mls of water a day. I am not hungry, very tired but feel the hardest bit is over. After my 2 weeks clear fluids is up, I then go on to 2 weeks purée food and then after that slowly introduce soft foods until I can eat normal food again. 14. I don't really have a "number" in mind I want to get to so when I get to the point that I am happy with the way I look and feel fit and healthy I plan to buy a whole new wardrobe, and get plenty of tattoos.. Lapband Nov 13 - Removed Sept 16 Gastric Sleeve Jan 16

    TO REVISE OR TO REMOVE?

Hi, I had a lapband in nov 13 and I lost 15kg by about March 14, then my weight started to increase, along with major reflux and vomiting. I made the decision to get it removed, and only by having it removed they found that the band had malfunctioned and was twisted and kinked, hence the trouble I was having. It was removed in Sept 16. I had it removed and I put on no weight and my reflux instantly was gone in the 3 months I had to wait to get a gastric sleeve. I have had my sleeve a week ago and looking forward to eating tiny portions of what ever I want. I would suggest maybe you get an X-ray to see weather everything is in the right place and functioning the way it should be. If your port is the only major issue, maybe you could just get it moved. Anyway that's my story. Hope it helps. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
