  1. Do heat packs really help? I have a discharge from the surgical incision which oozes light reddish to clear yellow serum-like fluid. I have been back and forth with my surgeon who keeps telling me to come back in a few more weeks, then another few more until now I am 6 months post-surgery and still have leakage. Sometimes it stops and doesn't swell, then a few days later it starts leaking again, then it will stop and sometimes it swells like a giant blister and when it is lanced all kinds of reddish non-infected fluid comes out. I am totally frustrated!!!
