    Quick poll

If you could receive private or group counselling sessions/therapy from a professional counsellor of psychology (WHO HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY PROCESS AND JOURNEY), would you?

    Confessions

I try not to sabotage my new sleeve either . However, the healthy foods are just not sitting well yet. I have sugar free pudding, I had dry corn flakes cereal soaked in milk, and tonight I had 4 teaspoons of pasta with tuna and cheese in it. I also had cod mashed in potato with molasses. And one day I had a couple of cheesies. And not going to lie, I sucked the chocolate off an almond. I get my protein in with shakes and then try my best to eat the best foods for my sleeve in the time being. (Mashed carrot, turnip, apple sauce, cod, salmon, tuna). I can't do boiled or baked chicken yet, it gets stuck. And I can't do eggs either. I try every couple of days. This tool is amazing. This journey is about learning how to use this tool. Not having those 3 cheesies didn't throw me off of my journey, I'm not a horrible person because I ate that. We need to remember It's all about having the power to stop, not go overboard and be aware of the entire nutrients you are getting daily. My advice may not be as top notch and holy as those who are following it exactly by the book but here's what I think and what works for me. Everyone is different and I totally support those for whatever method works best for them Do what you think is good for you and your body. Only you can decipher what you can handle. Yes don't go crazy, don't sit down and try to eat a whole slice of pizza right away, but google a way to have a healthy version in whatever stage you are at. Don't punish yourself if you feel you go off course, off course now MAY be those 2 chips, don't get used to the idea of eating junk like that because in the end that can make you gain. There will be plenty of times during this journey that your body will remind you that something you did wasn't the best decision, so get away from mentally abusing yourself over it. Always remember that in time this will all be normal. Your own eating habits will be normal and you will know how to handle it. Keep a positive and open mind and always remember why you chose this life in the first place. If it's to lose weight, then don't resort back to old habits. Use the sleeve to your advantage. EMBRACE THE JOURNEY. 5 weeks post op- 46.2 lbs downnnnn! No better feeling than that. [emoji8]
  3. I want to take my biotin and multivitamin in regular form. Not in a gummy and not crushed. I'm just over a month out. I can handle Dramamine and omeprazole in whole form. When did ya'll start taking whole pills?

    Vivid dreams?

I am 15 days out and I have had a dream every single night since surgery about food. Pizza, popcorn and big breakfasts LOL. Every single morning I wake up and I'm like DANG IT LOL. It's hilarious, sad sometimes. But funny. Not going to lie, I've shed some tears over not having pizza with the friends. One week post op I actually had an all out melt down and went in my room and cried till I fell asleep....to which I dreamed about [emoji487]. THINGS THEY DONT TELL YOU ABOUT WLS LMAO
  7. Day 15. Struggling with fluids and protein. Not that I can't do it but I just feel so full and getting all of it In seems impossible. It took me like two hours to finish one 25g shakeeee. Tomorrow my plan is to get two shakes in. I was able to eat 75% of an egg. And cream of wheat and oatmeal is no problem at all.
  8. Who takes vitamin gummies? When's a good time to start the gummies.

Is this normal sleeved on 2/15/17

I was sleeved on feb 9th. Basically the worst problem I've had was that "feeling like I've done 1000 push ups" feelings. It's almost 2 weeks and I've slept on my back every night because it feels like my abs are just free floating in my fatty abdomen LOL it hurtttsss. I was kind of worried cuz the other girls I got sleeved with never had this type of sensation. It was more gas pains for them. But me it's like somebody literally gathered all my muscles and tugged on them for hours (which was done) LOL. IT GETS BETTER!!!!! Last night I slept on my side for the first time. And I can actually get in and out of bed without feeling like I was ran over and kicked by a bull. [emoji106] [emoji23] I felt miserable for the first week. And it's amazing how every day there is progress. Keep your chin up, try to keep your mind on the positive. IT IS WORTH IT!!!! YOU GOT THIS!!!!

    Day 10 post op

Still sleeping on my back (I'm a side and belly sleeper). Anyone else having trouble sleeping comfortably? Feel like my right side had a hard going over LOL it's like my ab is loose in there LOL. I have to keep my abdomen muscles clenched whenever I get out of bed or roll around. It's an amazing sight to see...note sarcasm.

    Day 00001 Post-Op!

I was sleeved 10 days ago. It is definitely an emotionally roller coaster. From day 1 post op I was saying it's the best decision of my life. And it's true. But we are only human to feel the natural feelings of regret after a life altering event! For me it's my addiction to food and what that means for life after the sleeve. When I'm around my friends and family and they are eating whatever they want and me still being on full liquids....not a great situation. The addiction is still there. Now I have no other choice to fight it. I have cried many times since surgery. But I pick myself up every single time by saying I GOT THIS. IM TAKING CARE OF MYSELF. Binge eating is something of my past and the new, stronger and happier me, will not let the darkest spots of my mind take over this amazing journey I am embarking upon. It's not worth the puddle of tears. It is not easy. It's not meant to be easy. But keeping a positive attitude and NOT DWELLING ON THE "negatives" will make us stronger. I like to keep my mind on this track...it's not that "I cant" eat big meals anymore, or "I can't" drink soda anymore or "I can't" chug a beer anymore...because I have a sleeve as a stomach. INSTEAD OF THE CANTS...it's I DO NOT WANT TO EAT BIG MEALS...I DO NOT WANT TO CHUG BEERS. We need to stay IN CONTROL FIRST and foremost. That's what my mantra is...that's how I'm getting by. We can do this! Sure we will have trials and tribulations. But we now have the right tools to fight it!!!
