    My story- Pre-op and on.

My story on BP ends here.. my story continues but as I read the threads on the way this site is moderated I would rather not get used to this site.. now I can read a thread and then it says I can't reply... Coach thanks for this information. I'm off to find new forums. HW 330 CW 229.2 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve

    My story- Pre-op and on.

Day 10- liquid pre op diet. I am below my required pre-surgery goal with 4 days to surgery!!! I am so glad I have no more work until February I woke up this morning thinking of me not cases and my employees. I love my job but on no food it was very mentally draining. I plan to spend the next few days prepping my house, running errands and ensuring after surgery I can rest and recover. In September I had my first visit and was 243. Today I am 229 and ready for more. HW 330 CW 229.2 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve

    Borderline BMI

I won't hatch out the way I read it all, but I will thank you on my side for your post to clear the air. The borderline BMI is actually obese and I think insurances just want to save money.. thank you for your apology post and I as well apologize for mine. HW 330 CW 230.6 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve

    Borderline BMI

Wow, I can not believe your post mexicosleever. Just because some are borderline BMI does not make it easier for us. I have fought my weight for 20 years.. yes 20 out of 40 years counting calories exercising and dropped 100 pounds. Now after a hysterectomy a gall bladder removal I was borderline BMI. 40.6 that is what our insurance looks at. That does not mean we only have 20 pounds to lose. With my "borderline BMI" I have 51.5% body fat and when I exercise my knees ache from carrying my extra weight. Some of us may not be as fat as you think we should be for surgery but we still have struggled, won and lost our fights. Calorie app yup 1 1/2 years straight lost 5 pounds.. personal trainers gyms diets etc... If a BMI of 40 makes someone eligible and they are 39.9 that does not make them thinner.. I've been fatter and my first appt I was required to be at 40. Guess what I ate for 3 days to ensure I met it. WHY??? Because if I pay 500 a month for insurance bet your belly I am going to hope they pay. So to all the borderline BMIs you only need to hit it the first appointment and then the rest is supervised weight loss so usually your good. And don't listen to the people who judge you for making changes they are yet to understand. HW 330 CW 230.6 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve

    My story- Pre-op and on.

Awesome thank you!! I have crystal light but it is getting tiresome. I have to look at protein20 I tried Isopure and yuck!!! How long has it been since your surgery??? I am on day 9 of the pre op diet, yesterday I forgot to drink a shake lol already not feeling hungry. Then today I want food... less than a week away now. I am now off work until 2/6, thanks to the holiday no work for me until after recovery. I'm feeling anxious, scared (a little) and over all looking forward to having hope against this final 80 pounds. I still have energy but I am ditzy, I forget stuff so I think my brain wants food lol. Here's to the next 5 days flying by!!!! HW 330 CW 230.6 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve

Morning of day 7. It is Wednesday tomorrow is one week to surgery. I am getting nervous and anxious for it to be here, and trying to keep my mind occupied. I worked out yesterday and from being on liquids I am a little extra sore this morning but still feel good. Leg muscles ache. I am down to 231.4 now 6 1/2 pound loss since day 1. Thank you Suaniya, mine was 3 mos. for the insurance. Today is day 6 I have drank my magnesium citrate and waiting for any effects. I feel good I worked this morning then did my final pre-surgery workout session one hour with my PT of circuits and cardio. I felt my self tire faster than usual but still had a good workout. I'm not lethargic or exhausted as people have described. I am constantly drinking Water to try and keep my body going. So far the evening headaches are mild and other than 8pm hunger grumbles I am holding steady. HW 330 CW 235 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve

    January 2017 Sleevers!

Yes but what is your diet like to make that happen. I went with high Protein low carb Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App Each Dr seems to be different. My lover shrink is all liquids, 3 shakes, broth and the non-liquids are Jello or SF popsicles. HW 330 CW 235 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve

    My story- Pre-op and on.

Sharing, I first was going to keep it a secret. Now I have told everyone employees, family, friends and I was surprised on how many positive comments/support I had. Even the person I thought would be negative was super supportive and asked so many questions. I am glad I shared and was surprised by people. I love this forum and am now starting a list of foods to try based on other people's posts when I am ready. Ricotta bake is number 1 on the list. HW 330 CW 235 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve

    My story- Pre-op and on.

I want to journal my story, and if I can help anyone along the way I am glad. I am at the end of pre-op day 5 liquids. My dr requires all liquids; 3 shakes with 3 extras the choice of Jello or broth or SF popsicle. I have been doing two premier Protein shakes and the dinner shake is almond milk with MuscleTech % whey chocolate powder. Grinded with some ice I feel like it's a chocolate milk shake for dinner. Snack 1 is broth, snack 2 is jello, snack 3 is a popsicle. Lots of tea, Water and 1 cup of am coffee. I kept the caffeine for the morning to function and asked my NUT. She explained I may have headaches after surgery with it and that I'm ok. Day 1 I felt like crap at the end of the day, sugar and carb withdrawal headaches were a doozey. Day 2 was better and I used Tylenol pm to sleep off the last of TH headache. Day 3 and 4 we're the weekend so I rested and drank water. Today day 5 was a busy work day. I am a supervisor and my work is non-stop. The busy was good kept me moving and going and no hunger pains. I think I have found my groove and look forward to what's ahead. Weighing.

I'm pre op but I have always weighed morning and night. I log the morning one. I do measurements bi weekly and chart my progress. Some say weigh little some say weigh more, it's different for everyone. This keeps me on track and motivated HW 330 CW 235 Surgery date 1/19/17-Sleeve
