Low carb ideas
I started making egg muffins for breakfast in a muffin pan. I change it up each week - turkey pepperoni/cheese and I throw in red peppers, ham/cheese, beef/cheese, etc. you can freeze them or they last the week in the fridge. I usually eat it as a mid- morning snack, my shake is my breakfast. My NUT also said the protein cereal w/fairlife milk is a good bkfst also if you're a cereal person. Good luck! Look up - theworldaccordingtoeggface- she has a ton of great ideas Search Pinterest- lots of great ideas there too. Good luck!!

Almost a year since my surgeversary and 1 lb to 100lb
Congratulations!!

Now 5 mos out (pics show 3 mos progress) a little smaller now.
I'm at a stall also - I'm trying to track my food and increase my exercise. I feel 200% better now from where I started. I tell myself if this is the weight I end up (surgery date-12/21-down 50lbs-at 165 now) it's okay because I'm taking care of me and I feel good. You look great! Keep up the great work!!

84 pounds down and counting!
Good job!!

Happy dance
Apparently there's a 3 week stall. Just keep doing the protein and you'll see movement on the scale. I was shocked that I hit a plateau with as little as I was eating- and exercising - but it's normal.

Happy dance

Anybody in Jersey?!
Dr. Sadek and his staff. Who is your surgeon? My experience at RWJ was good. I stayed overnight in recovery b/c they didn't have a room for me. The nurses there were very attentive.

protein powers/shakes
Jay Robb- chocolate is my favorite protein powder! I mix it with 1/3 of a banana, peanut butter and fairlife milk.

Regrets anyone?
Mary, If you have this surgery, why would you have it? I had it b/c I've lost the same 70 lbs about 4-6x's. Since the surgery I'm off my cholesterol meds and my diabetes meds. I had no energy to do anything before the surgery and now I go to the gym 3-4x's a week and feel good about it. I love that I'm fitting into normal- sized clothing and feel good about myself. No, you will never be able to eat the same way again but you will be able to eat the foods you like/love- just not the same quantity. Good luck with your decision!

6 weeks post-op…only 15 lbs lost…sharing my struggles and lessons.
Forgetmenot....I had the sleeve on 12/21 and I had a stall for about 3 weeks and then started losing again. I'm losing about a pound a week, I'm frustrated and want to press the fast forward button... BUT my weight is going in the right direction where it wasn't going before the surgery. So... stick with the exercise and stick with the healthy eating and Celebrate your loss!! Stephanielp.. not taking your Vitamins might be detrimental.. you're not getting all your nutrients from food.

Maybe you should get a 2nd opinion just to make sure. I wasn't even sure I was eligible for any procedure b/c of my UC and I went to 2 different dr's just so i was comfortable w/my decision. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
