  2. Do you have the Protein drinks? My nutritionist recommended Atkins-lift Protein Drinks - it has 20g of protein in 16oz, Soups (Campbell's cream of chix, or tomato Soup or chix broth) I made cauliflower soup and added plain protein in it. I googled to get ideas. Jello, pudding, Protein shakes Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. What's confusing to you? How long on thin liquids? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. How are you feeling? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I was allowed to put a banana in my protein shake- that helped! I also had egg drop soup - it was filling and a liquid. Good Luck!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I don't think a cream will help. Exercise & toning is the key. I lost 95 lbs at one point and toned most of my body except my inner thighs which were beyond toning and tightening loose skin. All depends on your skin's elasticity. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I had my surgery 12/23 and I had absolutely no complications or pain. No gas pains even. I wondered if they even did the surgery - until I went to drink something and lo' and behold I knew. Everyone is different! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. Sorry to hear that you were in pain. How did they fix the leaks? Hopefully the pain you were in will be a big blur once you start losing all the weight. Good Luck!
  11. I'm cold all the time also. It doesn't help that it's really cold out. ☃
  12. My first purée was egg salad. My favorite purée was the ricotta cheese bake. It tasted better the next day. 12/21 was my date too!
  13. When you were discharged, did you get the little cups? Are you taking little sips of liquid? I remember I had to drink very little and very often to try to get my protein and water in during the first couple of days. Not sure why you're gagging - just try to take it slow. If you continue to gag- give your dr. a call.
  14. You can try chicken salad - mayo made it moist and doable for me at 3 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Wow! Great job with your journey! Really? The dr. told you to eat fried food and cookies? Have you seen a nutritionist?
  16. They can't do a swallow test when you're asleep. Hope you get in touch with your dr. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  19. Great that no one cares or said anything at the wedding! I think we are so hyper-aware of our situation and are hoping no one criticizes or judges. I had eggs w/ cheese this morning - I ate about 2/3rds of it and I felt sooo full - too much again. Tonight I had chix salad and I ate about 2 tablespoons and I was ok. I have to be more mindful and eat slowly to see if my fullness creeps up on me. How many ounces of meat do u eat in a meal? I just diced up the chix for my daughter - she wanted soft tacos and took some chix for myself and added mayo and spices and even put some away for tomorrow's lunch. I'm still thinking I'm not getting enough Protein and fluids in. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Forgot to add.... I have ulcerated colitis and being constipated is a godsend BUT it's becoming painful. Thx for the suggestions!!! Anyone try miralax? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I'm 17 days post-op and I am soooo constipated, any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Congrats on your weight loss!!! Working out isn't my favorite thing to do- but it actually makes me feel better afterwards. Are you going to therapy for depression? Maybe the dr's need to change- up your meds. Have you gone to any bariatric support group meetings? Can you still go out with your friends and not have alcohol? Good luck!! 23. Wow! Seeing what you eat I'm realizing that I really need to up my Protein. I usually start my day w/a shake w/ 1/2 banana, a couple hrs later some soup (sometimes no protein- but filling- the other day I puréed chix tortilla soup) and a couple hrs later fish or an egg and then a sf ice pop as a snack. I was focusing on eating every 3 hrs and tolerating the foods not getting my protein in. I need to focus on the chewing too. Are you measuring your food? How are your workouts going? I haven't gone back to work yet and I've been getting to the gym and hopping on the treadmill for 2 miles. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Congrats on your loss! How long was your pre-op diet for? Mine was a week and I lost 6 lbs. I should start measuring my solid food. I know I can have a little less than 1/2 cup of Soup at a time. I keep looking at my sample menu for suggestions also. The other day I had egg salad (1 egg) (mushy stage) and it was way too much food for me and it took about 2 hours for me to feel better after I ate it. I'm also trying to stay away from milk-based things - I'm using almond milk for my Protein shakes. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
