Just as a little update.... I am now 5 days out and feeling almost normal
A little tenderness on the tummy to be expected but haven't taken any pain meds since Saturday and back to routine bringing kids to school and whatnot. Still feels a little burny if I have Water that's too cold or my shake but overall. Better

I'm feeling good today had a rough start right after surgery with nausea and vomiting. But after a few different nausea meds and a patch I was finally able to hold down Fluid and went home after 2 1/2 days I did sleep a lot the first 3 days with the pain meds. But today no meds at all feeling good.

2 c-sections - 1999 and 2003. The sleeve was a walk in the park. I went into the hospital Tuesday morning at 6 am and left Wednesday at 1 pm. I could bend over and tie my shoes, I could walk without using an IV pole to stand up straight. I didn't use any pain meds other than tylenol when I got home and 1 or 2 doses of an anti-nasuea med (I have trouble with nausea from anesthesia.) I was back at work on Monday morning (I'm a desk jockey who is in the office 2x a week.)

OMG it's going down in the morning I am sooo nervous. Like I have butterflies in my tummy !!!

For me I think this was a little more painful only because you need to use your stomach muscles Way more than you use the muscles down at your bikini area. I have a lot more scar tissue than I did down there too. I think because you never really get to rest that area. But the pain itself is not bad both areas have numbness after the surgery. Be like nike "just do it"[emoji12]

I had a pretty easy recovery from a c-section, but even with that, the vsg was a cake walk. I have had no pain whatsoever, though I am constantly battling nausea and can't keep up with my liquids and Proteins at four days post op. I also can sleep on my side, have no issues with walking, and have not had any gas pains. I'm already fully caring for my 1 year old easily, she even sleeps on me and there is no discomfort. Really the two cannot compare.

Pre op diet is hard but that's when I realized that (1) I need to stay engaged in forums such as this and continue to read over my material to help me stay focused (2) I need to remember why I'm doing this and what outcome will be (3) I do not want any complications from surgery so I must do this!
This is hard but the excitement I feel about the destination that isn't too far away makes it a bit easier.
