Yes, the pain! Sometimes I feel like crying by the end of the night because I've been on the go all day with my job. My sciatic nerve is compromised almost monthly, too. I'm looking forward to losing this weight and never finding it again!

My doctor recommends one stool softener a day, and two teaspoons of benefiber. I put the benefiber in my Protein Shake, but you can put it in any liquid you want. I make sure to drink my 64 ounces of Water daily. It is so important to get in your water. I have had no problems with Constipation with this regimen. I hope to you great success in your weight loss.

Personally, for me, I am eating a lot less than 1200 calories most days and when I do I don't see movement on the scale (just because having a hard time getting in the food, not trying to eat that little). However, on good days when I can get in my Protein and calories that's when I see movement. My understanding is when under 1200 calories my body thinks its starving and tries to hold onto everything it can. Not to mention - absolutely no energy when not feeding it fuel.

Port, you can do it. Just get back to the basics. Do your Protein, veggies and fruit. Get a new routine. It's getting nice out, so it's easier to go outside and walk and enjoy the fresh air. Don't give up. I know you can do this[emoji41]

I feel the same way. 106 pounds down now. It's been 10 months since my sleeve. I am always worried that the weight will come back. I like you stick with my food plan and exercise. I'm not giving up. I like the changes in my body. I like the way I feel now. I feel so much better.

I am surprised at how much I can eat at this point also. I can only imagine what it will be like a year or 2 from now. Tracking helps me stay on track (ha!). I can still be more than full and satisfied with 4 ounces of meat, but if I didn't portion and track 4 ounces, I could easily eat 6 or 7. When we get beyond meat, I can eat almost normal sized portions of things. My sleeve isn't stretched at all but 8 ounces of the wrong food, or even good food can be too many calories.
Your restriction won't save you forever, only good habits will.

Hey All, So today is a very special day... 1 year ago today my life changed forever. Yes... It is officially my Surgery Anniversary, and with a last push over the past few days I achieved what i thought was not possible. I lost 201 lbs in 1 year! My doctor was amazed at my visit, and they are going to do an article on me Although i am extremely proud of the weight loss, the more important lesson that i learned is that... Anything is possible! This year, i am going to make bigger changes, and just remember when i thought that being thin was not a possibility!

My support group through my doctor has been helpful, but I have really liked bp. There's lots of subjects that are more personal discussed here and not at support group.

I read about people stalling and wanting to give up. DON'T. You can easily regain even after WLS. Stay strong.
    Lap-banded and love it!

Yes, that is normal. You are retaining fluids. I know I had several bags of IV fluids. It's normal for the body to do so it wouldn't starve. You will start to loss in a short while.

So i'm officially 100 pounds down, but still have a ways to go. This is the most confident i've ever been in my life and i feel absolutely amazing. Recently, however, as i've been healing and able to eat more and test out new foods, i find myself absolutely overwhelmed and terrified of gaining even a single pound back. i stick to my diet and exercise everyday, but occasionally (and i mean rarely) slip up and eat something i shouldn't or skip a workout. Gaining weight now consumes my every thought. I may sound like a cry baby but i just don't know what to do! It is so overwhelming and sends me to panic mode. I know i'm not perfect, but i'm trying my very best to be. Any advice or words of encouragement??
