Poopy probs pls help !
My doctor recommends one stool softener a day, and two teaspoons of benefiber. I put the benefiber in my protein shake, but you can put it in any liquid you want. I make sure to drink my 64 ounces of water daily. It is so important to get in your water. I have had no problems with constipation with this regimen. I hope to you great success in your weight loss.

Feel like a failure
Port, you can do it. Just get back to the basics. Do your protein, veggies and fruit. Get a new routine. It's getting nice out, so it's easier to go outside and walk and enjoy the fresh air. Don't give up. I know you can do this[emoji41]

Am I crazy why am I hungry, depressed, not feeling full.....
I've had hunger pains. My doctor told me some people do, some don't. In the beginning like you are I had to figure out that the hunger pains were really gas. If I made myself burb some it helped. Maybe some gas x would help. Good luck, and congrats on your surgery.

Hospital attire?
I agree. One less thing to bring. Just use the hospital gowns, it's the easiest since you will have a IV in.

Tomorrow tomorrow I love ya tomorrow!!
Congrats. So happy for you. That had to be exciting to have the day moved up. Welcome to the losers club. I'll wish you luck, but you don't need luck, just determination. I know you will do great. The best to you.

What Are Your Weight Loss Surgery Resources?
My support group through my doctor has been helpful, but I have really liked bp. There's lots of subjects that are more personal discussed here and not at support group.

2 days out
Yes, that is normal. You are retaining fluids. I know I had several bags of IV fluids. It's normal for the body to do so it wouldn't starve. You will start to loss in a short while.

Constipation.... This is the WORST!!!!
Constipation is always a problem. I use benefiber and a stool softener everyday. It works. I also make sure to eat my veggies and fruit beside proteins. I put benefiber in my protein shake. Don't even notice it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I feel the same way. 106 pounds down now. It's been 10 months since my sleeve. I am always worried that the weight will come back. I like you stick with my food plan and exercise. I'm not giving up. I like the changes in my body. I like the way I feel now. I feel so much better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

What to bring to hospital?
I packed light. Change of underwear, toothbrush, toothpaste. Lip balm is great, my lips were dry afterwards. Phone and charger. I used their gowns. Slippers might be nice since it's winter. My feet swelled after surgery, so loose fitting shoes are great. I was busy walking so didn't need anything else. I only stayed overnight. Just starting out and scared
You have made the right decision. It will take effort to go thru the process needed to have the surgery, but it is worth it. Once you are on your weight loss journey life is so much better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
