" You were not big enough to need surgery"
    "Dont loose too much"
"How much can you eat now"
    "Do you feel weak"
    "You look old"
    And the most annoying
"I liked the way you looked before surgery"

Oh how about " you can't eat that!"
I just literally spazzed out on my husband because I asked him to pick up some pudding at the grocery store. I get so agitated when people who have not been sleeved , nor have met with any nutritionist, nor any doctors- try to tell me what I can eat or can't eat! I'm the one who just had 85% of my stomach removed! Do you honestly think I'm going to eat any-damn-thing that is going to hurt me or impede my success??? Just shut up already!
    * I think this was more of a vent than anything.*

My personal favorite.....You really didn't look like you needed to lose that much weight. REALLY??? Were you blind?

A bit off topic but so far, my least favorite question post-op is "do u feel better?". I know they mean well and although I was 326 pounds, I felt and functioned just fine so 70 pounds down I kind of feel the same. I mean getting up off the floor is a little easier but otherwise I sort of feel the same....

"But you're so young! You could have just exercised and ate less..." Yes because I should have waited another 10, 20, 30 years of unhappiness and hating life until I decided to make a change... of course! Exercise and eat less, well holy hell there's a new concept I NEVER tried before!
"You're going to gain ALL your weight back because I know 1 person who did!"

I didn't extend it, but my practice's normal rules are 4 weeks of post op liquids, so that is what I did. It didn't hurt me in the slightest and I think I struggled with introducing food a lot less than people who advance their diets faster. I never had any problems with food, and I think taking things slow helped.

I do but I think it's getting better, almost 2 weeks post op.

I would move out if possible or make a positive list. For example: they call you fat, you flip it and say I have fat; because you accepting the definition is saying I am, instead of I have extra fat, if that makes sense. Also, me including the majority of bariatric people have exhausted most weight loss resources, so weight loss surgery becomes the "last ditch try". So I know you say your family but it's probably other people too who have a opinion about your weight, but yours matters the most! So if want it in addition to needing it, then take it. Good luck! ????

I can't speak for you or anyone else but for me the differnce is, I look very small and normal in clothes. When I was big, I was big and people knew exactly what they were getting. Now I feel like I am false advertising even though I am not trying to.
No guy I have been with has commented or cared but it is my comfort issue.
I'm really struggling with it. Most people that post on here are married and older or in a LTR, so there aren't many people that can relate to dating with loose skin. So don't expect many useful responses.
