I know it's frustrating, I'm so sorry. We are going through so much and when we don't see results right away it can really demotivate us, make us sad, frustrated, angry, etc. Just know that this IS working. Your body is healing and you are JUST starting on this journey. You are also at your highest emotional volatility stage. From week 2 to week 6 I was a mess and could lose it at any moment.
Be kind to yourself. Be kind to your body, get and give lots of hugs, those help so much.
If you are feeling down or crappy, just think about folding your arms across your chest with ease, think about seeing the bones in your hands slowly reveal themselves to you, think about how all your necklaces will be bigger on you and how when you smile you can see your cheek bones. Think about running with ease, riding on roller coasters, sitting on a plane with no anxiety about our size.
Life is about to open up for you like a beautiful flower. These are our "new tummy" growing pains. It sucks but it's a journey we've all walked and you can do it!!

Also, take your measurements. Do that weekly and see the changes. I didn't lose one pound for over a month, but I lost so many inches it was crazy.

I am encountering the same problem. I lost the first 15 lbs FAST then nothing! I am starting to work out - someone told me that our bodies need time to catch up to the weight they lost. I don't know but I feel your frustration.

Is your liquid intake a lot of broth/bullion? these have a LOT of salt in them which will also make Water weight stay put. Make sure you are getting non-salty fluids in and are walking to help more the fluids out of your cells. This is a post-op phase and you will begin to loose soon.

Yup, your body is dealing with something major. It's not uncommon at all to not lose right away. We have fluids from the IV's, gases, bloating, body dealing with the shock of surgery. Don't fret, you are doing everything right and the lbs will start falling off.

It's not uncommon to not lose or even gain right out of the hospital. You are pumped full of liquids and your body is traumatized.
I went into surgery 359 and came out 372. I was pissed. My surgeon said it can take (on average) 2 weeks to process the fluids and swelling from the surgery.

I got mine on 12/28 and I regret knot getting my correct weight to a t but I'm pretty sure I was around 315 the day of the surgery. And today I'm 295. I was worried I was losing enough because of everyone else's post. But everyone is different. Are you drinking a lot ? Maybe it's Water weight. If you haven't try weighing yourself after you go to the bathroom in the morning.

Things will likely change when you move to solids. I could full on swallow liquids too and thought my sleeve was messed up when I was eating puddings and Soups. Once you start moving on to solid foods that full feeling will come MUCH quicker!
I also never had issues getting food down, I've tolerated everything and also never thrown up. You might just be a lucky one!

Not everyone has a bunch of issues post op. I could drink and eat no problem, no pain. 2.5 years post op and haven't thrown up once.
One thing people don't realize is all the nerves have been comprmised and cut when the stomach was cut and stapled back up. That makes feeling wonky for a while, and why some don't get the "full" sensation right away. It's always best to measure out your amounts so you don't inadvertently over eat because your feeling isn't quite there yet.

I'm glad you asked this question because I was thinking the same thing! I can drink with no problem (granted I can't do more than ONE gulp at a time) it's way more than just a sip though with no problems...and my NUT told me that 2 oz should be suffice while on purees but I can finish the 4? I wonder if that's a problem.... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using the BariatricPal App

A couple things that I love post op. 1. I just bought lunch at a local meat market/restaurant I asked for 2 ribs (they were about 4" long) she looked at me and said are you sure? They are really small. I said yeppers! 2. The rib meal is $7.95 with 3 ribs and a side. When you get just the ribs they sell by the pound. My lunch was $2.24 for delicious ribs. Happy fat man!

You FEEL like you could eat pizza, but let me tell you you can't hahahaha. My eyes are bigger than my stomach, so I'm the same way. I always think I can eat more than I actually can. Try to spread four ounces over an hour. That's what I was told to do during the liquid phase.

Hang in there... Like others have said, you are still early in the process. I never had buyers remorse or the wtf have I done feeling but I definitely had my moments. Every time I doubted myself or my decision, I look at all the times I lost and regained ( usually plus some ) and all the time wasted. This time it is different. The first 6 weeks were tough but now I feel pretty normal, it's just that food is not constantly an issue. I'm more active and feel more in control. Just get thru the next month... And see where that leads you, I think you'll be pleased. It will never be the same but it can be better!

The gurgling noise is normal after gastric sleeve surgery, your stomach will make all sorts of funny noises for a while.
