  1. I will if this round of nurses would shut off the lights like last night's did. Lol. Smh. I even questioned it in a nice way.
  2. Yay! Glad you're going good. Enjoy your nap.
  3. I've opted to stay one more night. I don't think I want to handle my little ones just yet. ?
  4. I had chicken broth and it was yummy. Sipped it very slowly. Then I decided it was time to walk again. Feeling way better than this morning. I just might be going home this evening. Sitting down on the recliner for now, having ice chips. Nurse took me off the iv, so it's up to me to not get dehydrated now.
  5. We are having the same symptoms. I'm ok now. Although I have decided to try and drink a little more and it's getting better. The surgeon does the leak test I guess right after the operation, so that's been taken care of. i will be getting up to walk a bit more soon though. I'm sure that will expel some more gas. I haven't had the toots, just the burps.
  6. Oh no! I'm this just might be a fun story to share later. ?
  7. Great loss. But I'd encourage you to stay away from the scale. This is your journey, not to be compared to any one else's. Your body is healing, there will be ups and downs. So even if the scale number didn't move, I can almost guarantee your body measurements are moving. ? Take care and keep us posted!
  8. Good for you! Your recovery seems to be going well. I'm happy for you!
  9. Good morning hon! Hope all goes well for you too. ?
  10. The nausea is the worse for me. They gave me a cocktail of meds this morning. I'm feeling a tad bit better. I couldn't even look at the liquid breakfast they sent me. Nurse says most patients don't bother. Lol my throat did hurt a little. Ice chips seemed to help with it, although it was painful in the stomach.
  11. So tired. Gas is expelling through burps. Due to get up for walks in 30 mins.
  12. And great job on your loss too! Looking very good!!!
  13. Hon. I'm happy for you right now. It's time to move on. God always turns what was meant for evil for His glory. You are/will be walking in His glory. That moment needed to happen so He can start your new life. Hang in there hon, I believe the moment you are officially divorced, a weight will be lifted. That's a good thing. ? Bless you hon!
  14. Surgery is running late. My surgeon came to check up on me and told me about another thirty minutes. Looks like 10am then. and I'm super hungry!!! ?
  15. I hope you got your sleep hon. All will be well. ?
  16. Hi there! Glad to have ya! ?
  17. Have fun at the zoo! That's a great way to kill time.
  18. My prayer for all of us, may God's hands be over us the entire time. In jesus' name. Amen. I managed to get six and a half hours of sleep. Yay! Just about to get out of the truck at the hospital. Y'all be blessed. Will update as soon as I am able. It is time! ?
  19. On the flip side, I ordered a size large swimsuit for next year. ? I expect to be wearing it too and hopefully it'll fit and not be too big (or even small).
  20. Anyone else's stomach in a ball of nerves now? Didn't think it'll happen to me, since having multiple surgeries before. Not really nervous, still excited, guess anxious maybe? I'm not familiar with this feeling. at first I thought maybe I had a bad protein drink...but it hasn't gone.
  21. Thanks hon. I'm super duper hungry now. I'll be having a protein drink. Enjoy Tijuana!! ??
  22. So, had my last meal. Went to a restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day. Had a 1/2 piece of grilled chicken (it was big) and a couple bites of veggies. I didn't eat much veggies cause they weren't quite steamed, but sautéed in who knows what. I gave them to my brother. My dad got in to a discussion about ketosis diets...of which I will not be going on ever. That's another topic to discuss down the road. My mom will be at the same hospital having her chemo while I'm in surgery. She says for me to walk to visit her. Lol. Or she'll come to me after her treatment. Overall, had a great lunch with my family. Now on to just liquids for the rest of the day. I might have one last protein drink later, but I'm aiming to keep it clear liquids for the rest of the day. My instructions are to not have anything after midnight....I hope to be asleep by then. ?
  23. Happy Mother's Day hon! ? Keep us posted on your journey. We'd love to hear from you.
  24. Thanks hon. After a long evening at the beach, I do hope so too. Goodnight! ?
