May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
I do think I'll have somewhat some loose skin, but maybe not enough to be too concerned about it. I could see my stomach maybe being safe from having to get a TT, but it's too hard to tell now. I'm working on my muscle build, so hopefully my arms won't be too bad either. Definitely my boobs though, they'll be getting a lift. Lol Ive been putting vitamin e oil and Lavender oil on my scars, actually my whole tummy. I just slather it all on there once a day, usually before bed. Lavender oil is great for scars and healing.

Concerned Mom
I soon as I read your post, but I heard "control". I've dealt with controlling parents growing up, even in to my young adult years. Your daughter is an adult and although she may or may not be making the most wise decisions at 20 years old (I've been there), you surely need to love and support her throughout, and not control her; she will indeed resent you and it'll break your relationship even more so. As for surgery, everything what the above two posters said. Please be there for her and support her and love her. Those that have support tend do to better mentally than those who don't. Give your daughter peace please! This is a great tool to have and she can surely get ahead in her life now, than 20 years later with all kinds of problems, especially if she's struggled with her weight early on. Please, support her!!!

Vitamins schedule
-
Did anyone else not need a endoscopy??
I've had one before but, I didn't have one for the surgery.

Anyone else having trouble with the vitamin supplements?
I had the same thing...but got rid of the chewable multi's and am trying the patches. I couldn't stomach the chewables anymore. B12 is good for me too and I take three calcium chews (bariatric advantages) they taste good. One thing that helps me immensely, thanks to @Thejeweledsleeve, is the Round app. My phone dings when it's time for vitamins. So, I'm not having to think about them really. Might be worth checking in to for yourself.

Multifocal Lens Implant
I read the procedure. Isn't any way I'll let someone poke with my eyes. Lol. Hope it works out for you if you decide too. And your not alone, I too, wear hearing aids, or supposed to be. (Those things are just darn expensive), but my loss is from birth. At least they make them better these days than those big bulky ones behind the ears that I had growing up. (My brother flushed his down the toilet the day he got them! Imagine the heart attack my mom had!! Lol)

May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
Hello all. I hope you had a good Friday. I stayed home from work and had a sorts of day going back and forth to my daughter's track meet. Fortunately the stadium is by our house and so we just walk around. Did that about four times today, as my younger girls kept saying they want to go home in between the races. So we did. It was too hot too, everyone had their umbrellas and tents out. So, that was my workout for the day. I was too pooped to do anything else. Eating was fine too, just the times were off. I plan to get my kitchen cabinet hardware on tomorrow and put my tilt out trash bin cabinet together as well. My hubby started some of the backsplash grout. Looks great and clean so far. I am down a size. Went from 18 workout pants to 16. I'm actually kind of scared to do jeans this early on, so I think I'll opt to just look like I'm always going to the gym. Lol

How long did it take to shower after surgery?
Showered the day after at the hospital. They had a bench and all the supplies ready for me. Didn't have to worry about water over my incisions either, just was instructed to let soapy water run over them and pat them dry afterwards. Wasn't too bad. I even shaved my legs. Lol

What Was on Your Friday Menu?
Breakfast: chameleon cold brew mocha coffee with chocolate premier protein drink. (No time to make anything) Lunch: 2oz package of cubed smoked turkey breast and cubed pepper jack cheese. Snack: Mary's organic whole grain pretzels Dinner: mango tequila lime shrimp and peppers Snack: sweet chili pistachios

Any other clergy out there?
I believe God has called us to be whole, spiritually, mentally, and physically. Having WLS should be a great tool to lead others in the church on a WHOLISTIC journey for their health. Obviously, it'll be to each person's convictions and preference whether they accept it for you or themselves, but overall, if this brings you peace and health in your personal life, then I do think you should share in some way with your congregation as well. Why keep the good God has given you to yourself? That's an awesome testimony! But hey, in your own time too, unless He tells your otherwise. I have told numerous church family members that I had it. I've had nothing but support from them; but my church is probably one of the MOST LOVING churches ever! Lol. A few have more questions too, for their own journeys. One had her's before me, she gave me even more confidence in going forth. So, if you decide to share, you just might be helping others as well. ?

I think it's awesome your daughter cooks! My 12 year old doesn't know anything. I tried with her, but she puts no effort. Lol. Sounds like a good meal. I think I'd like to try a blt in a lettuce wrap soon. My baby girl is great. It's as if she was never sick. Lol. At least I've got a day off. ?

Thanks @Apple1. I will enjoy my day. Right now, even if my daughter is well enough to go to school, I don't want to go to work anyway. ? Have a great day yourself!

Yeah, my clothes are looser. Unfortunately they're way looser on the butt too. Lol. I, too, am on the same row on my bras. I wore a sports bra today and that didn't give me the major headache I would usually get either, fitting me better. I'm wearing smaller panties that I've had for ages now as well. I do see the stretch marks on my belly being a bit more noticeable though, growing closer together, but I can still wear the same clothes although they're baggy and sliding down for the most part. I broke down and bought myself another pair of workout pants, a size smaller. Didn't bother trying them on yet, but they should fit. We shall see. ? Baby girl is fine. She's got a virus, even though she seems fine now. Have to keep her out of school tomorrow too. Usually my husband would be taking care of the sick kids (being on nights) but he's on days now and so I have to stay home. Which I don't mind, but had a bit of attitude from the boss today (via text and email) after I mentioned that I will need to be off tomorrow too. Hmph. Well, my kids and husband will always come first. I like my job but I could always get another job if needed.

@mishyk I'm with Apple, are you ready to try something more? As for the date, he's been asking you to spend time with him even post-op tells me that he doesn't think anything about the weight before. ? That's a great quality in Him already. I hope it all goes well with you two. Keep us posted, I like juicy dating stories (except for the past midnight ones!!) ?

Help!
I was just four days ahead of you, on the 15th, although @OutsideMatchInside is right, we can't tell you what you need to be doing, I will have to say, that I'm no longer subjected to liquids, puréed, etc. I'm totally on regular foods, albeit healthy foods. Still can't eat very much though. Get with your doc office and they should give you a guideline.

Two weeks post op.......
I don't know. I don't weigh. So I have to take the words of everyone else, a weight stall. Doesn't mean nothing else is happening though. ?
-
Do you HAVE to follow a low carb diet?
That's a lot of protein! I don't think I'll ever need that. Lol. But your muscle mass even at 250 is awesome, and see.....you don't look the 250 either in the pic.

Body changes
It's peer related, four years ago. Nothing about his actual practice or method or quality of care . On April 12, 2013, the Board and Gary Michael Horndeski, M.D., entered into an Agreed Order requiring Dr. Horndeski to obtain within 30 days an independent medical evaluation from a psychiatrist and follow all recommendations for continued care and treatment, within one year complete 16 hours of CME including eight hours in risk management and eight hours in communications skills with professional colleagues and pay an administrative penalty of $1,000 within 60 days. The Board found Dr. Horndeski was disciplined by peers at Angleton Danbury Medical Center regarding issues related to competency, conduct and behavior and had his membership and privileges at ADMC revoked.
