  1. @Sweet as peaches hey hon. Miss you! I truly hope all is well. I thought of you while I did Just Dance tonight with my girls. ?
  2. Ok. I monitored my eating today. I did perfectly fine. Even ate 2oz at lunch and all was well. The problem I was having: eating too fast. I will definitely be eating much slower from now on.
  3. A family friend pulled me aside this past Sunday at church and said, "hey there sexy mama. When you wear clothes that actually fit you better, you look slimmer." ?. So true. Lets get out of the funk together!
  4. This made me tear up. Thank you for supporting her through your concerns. Although I commented early on in the thread about my parents being controlling when I was younger, I failed to add, that they did what they thought was right for me, as I believe you and your husband have done as well, out of concern. I may speak about the past but I don't dwell in it and have chosen to forgive my parents for my sake (they probably still think they're right! ? and we do have an awesome relationship). So please forgive me for not being a bit more mindful of your concerns. And I believe without a doubt, your daughter will be ok. See if she'll join Bariatric Pal for extra support. It'll be nice to have her on board. ?
  5. I think you should call your team and discuss an alternative then. You shouldn't be weak and dizzy. My team allowed me to eat an ounce of baby carrots as a snack. That helped immensely.
  6. Then you'll need to stick to their plan then. It does get easier the longer you're on it (at least it did for me). The reward is great, so keep at it!
  7. Depends on if your team allows it. On my pre-op, it was protein shakes, broth, decaf coffee, etc. (I did have a sensible dinner though), so I would check to see if you're allowed chicken/veggie pieces in your soups. Every surgeon/nut are different it seems.
  8. Not yet! Hoping to, although the band is getting smaller, my cups aren't. Boo hoo. Only a month out, so we'll see.
  9. I see it!!! And my eyes work!!! It's an amazing huge change. Keep at it hon.
  10. So, today I was walking towards some double doors at the natatorium (where my daughter takes her swim lessons) and I noticed my legs. They looked somewhat nice. LOL As we were leaving from her lessons, I didn't pay attention, but some man kept staring at me! It was kind of uncomfortable but flattering at the same time. He wasn't all that bad looking either. All I know, is I better not tell my husband. HA! Actually feels good to be noticed a little bit.
  11. I have a scale, I guess I should pull it out and try doing that. Thanks!
  12. Seems like all foods. I even thought to just have broth for a day just so I don't have to eat. I'm going to do my best to monitor tomorrow though. Maybe I am eating one too many bites and just can't eat much till. I know a couple of days ago I decided to push it a little, not because what I was eating was so good, but because I finally counted my intake (for one day). I was curious. Showed I ate just 396 calories that day. I'm not all bent up on numbers as you know, but I thought maybe I should be eating more at this point. Looking at that intake messed me up. Lol. As I'm writing this, I remember my doc saying, if your not hungry, don't eat. Heh. So I need to just stay away from that counting. See, works for some, but totally messes with my head. Again, tomorrow I will listen to my body. I will eat slower and see if those things help. If the problem persists after that, I'll give a call.
  13. Aw, hon. I'm sorry to hear it. Those darn clots have no say in your body!!! Believe that. My mom just dealt with a massive one in her lung and I can understand the grief. But let's believe all will be well hon. I'd encourage you to change your eating now, even though you won't be having wls. Change a few things now, they'll make a huge impact and difference over time. Get with a nutritionist if you can anyway. I speak blessings over you hon, please stay on. I'd love to hear how great you're doing anyhow. ?
  14. As I don't have a clue what I lost so far, I'm just so happy to be back working out this month. I grew up working out all the time (my dad was a fitness instructor for a bit while outside of his day job) and it's just a love of mine. With the extra weight I carried I was always hurting after a workout, etc. I'm not now. I see definition in the short time I've been doing my weights too. My belly isn't sticking out so much, actually looks flattened somewhat when I'm sitting down. I'm impressed with myself but give all my credit to a good muscle build on my dad's idea of the family. I do need to stretch more though. I've felt pretty good that I've reinstated my makeup almost daily lol I usually go with no makeup, but a little mascara, eyeliner, blush, and lipstick makes the day. Today I didn't bother and I instantly noticed whereas before, I didn't care. So that's a plus. My chair I sit in feels big. My truck feels big. My husband says he thinks I'm shrinking height wise Lol. We shall see. I know I've lost at least 14 lbs (weighed on the 31st), and it's amazing what that bit can do. I've also noticed I'm hungrier this past week (adding in exercise). It's very nice to know I can't stuff my face with something just cause I'm super hungry. Lol. But I've also noticed the past two days, I'm having trouble even trying to eat 2 oz I usually stop about 1 and I feel like I ate one bite too many. ???? Anyone else?
  15. I need to, but my kids are expensive now. Currently $1500 goes out every month for school and activities. It's ridiculous. I need a break.
  16. As long as you've got a support system!! It's great your husband's side is very supportive. I love that for you. ?
  17. Probably adding more debt to their debts for most. Some are responsible and have a good amount of savings. Maybe family pays for it? All I know is if you really want it, you'll find a way to get it.
  18. You've got a point. I didn't look at her stats.
  19. I agree with GBLady41....if you're inconsistent with weights. Cardio will only do so much, but to change the physique of your tummy, you'll need to strengthen your abs/core. That goes for all the muscle, need strength, not endurance.
  20. I added my face! LOL This is me last week. I'm going to wait until the 15th to add some before and afters.
  21. Almost a week ago I started weights again. I walk on the treadmill or ride the stationary bike for about 30-45 mins, then I do weights. I've been doing biceps, triceps, chest, and back. This past Sat I added legs. If you're not familiar with what weights to do, form, how much, etc....I'd encourage you to get a trainer if possible. If not possible, look up youtube videos on how to do them properly. It's very easy to get injured not doing so. I aim to do weights 3x a week. I'll be adding pool time (with my girls probably in a couple of weeks), I want to make sure my incision sites are COMPLETELY healed, even though I was cleared. I also do JUST DANCE with my girls. Lots of fun!!!
