  1. I absolutely love your positive attitude! I just had surgery on Dec.16 and it has been hell. I am sure it's my own fault. I can not stick to the all liquid diet and cheat often. My weight loss has been very slow. I actually weighted a pound more at my three day post op. Clearly I severely mis understood my dependence on food. I want so badly to make this tool work but I just don't see it happening.
  2. I just started on this journey. I wieght 190 at 5'1. My BMI is 36. I feel like I may have made the wrong choice. I hate not being able to eat real food. I am not good eating the right foods and I am losing nothing. Would love to hear how others in this group doing now please
  3. @@AC3 @@Sammiwill77 @huskiegirl72 Thank you for making me feel better. I want real food so BAD it hurts. I swear I am consumed with wanting food now more then I was pre surgery. I personally think doing this over the Christmas break has been pure hell. I too have cheated and not just a little. Yes I pay for it and feel like crap emotionally and physically. I am not sure I should have done this surgery. Prior to surgery I could eat a reasonable portion and be okay now I just feel deprived. Any help please?
  4. Use a heat pad over the site helps done with thsoain????
  5. I am one week out. ????Told my doctor and he said to stretch it by turning and bending slowly. ?. He also suugested I use s hit bad that
  6. @@erp Thanks for the honesty! Your so right it does suck completely! I will be the first to admit I was not prepared for the post op diet or requirements. Doing my best to make it through????
  7. @@Greensleevie Thanks for the perspective. The whole walking on a broken leg thing made a lot of sense. I appreciate your kind response.
  8. Thank you for the advice. I tell you what anyone that thinks this surgery is the easy way out is so wrong! I appreciate your perspective on this.
  9. I want real food so bad! I am sick of soup. I can't get in protein powder so real food would be best. I am 4 days out. I know it's wrong but I tried to eat refried beans on a tortilla yesterday. It went down fine. What's the real deal on when I can eat real food. Please don't lecture me on not cheating just looking for honest answers. Thanks

The day for surgery has arrived...

Just had mine 10 hrs ago. Had to wait 4 hr in the pre op room. I almost left but so glad I didn't. You can do it!
  11. Just had mine today. Only my kids and husband know. A few others have heard I am having surgery and I told them it was minor tried to change the subject. I am worried about what people will say but trying not to care. It's not the easy way out! It's about doing what healthiest for me. It's not as if I haven't done everything I could to lose weight before turning to this. I did have moderate success (20 lbs) when I was killing my self at boot camps. Still no where what I needed and my body was just falling apart. You can only push your body so far when your 42. Wish we didn't have to feel like it needed to be kept secret.
  12. I just had the surgery 10 hrs ago. Had all the same fears (not chicken chocolate for me). I believe I made the right choice. Life is about choices and every choice has its risk. Sounds to me like you really want this or you wouldn't be have started this journey. You can do it! I don't have much support. Didn't help that I had to wait 4 hrs after I checked in to get the surgery going. I almost walked out but didn't you can do this and we are all here to support you????
