  1. I haven't worked out since July. Had foot surgery and went in to a dark place of binge eating and gained 30 lbs. I start crossfit back tomorrow. I am both nervous and excited. Nervous that I know I will be physically drained while my body adjusts. Excited that I can tone up and increase my weight loss amongst many other benefits. Any others out there that can add words of wisdom? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  2. Day of...round face, 2 weeks post op with bloating, and 6 weeks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  3. Didn't tell my mom either for similar reasons. Just say I'm dieting get and not very hungry. Good luck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  4. Don't get discouraged. I only lost 5 after surgery and went on a 3 week stall. But I kept walkiing and eating right and now I"m at 20lbs at 5 weeks post op and the loss is going fairly quickly. I lost 10 lbs before surgery, so 30lbs total and I'm thrilled because now I am losing 3-5 a week. Hang in there. I actually quit weighing for a while and just went by my clothes getting baggier and feeling thinner. The scale can mess with your head during a stall.

  8. 4 weeks post op and I've lost 27. I stalled for almost 3 weeks after surgery and literally had to quit weighing or else I would've gone crazy. then it suddenly started coming off. I am light weight, having around 50 total to lose so I don't expect it to go quickly. I just keep following the nutrition guide and walking. Next week I start cross fit back and hope it really starts melting then. Good luck. Don't get discouraged.
  9. I am 4 weeks post op and tolerate a little coffee. I drink mine black, but have tried it with cream. Either way, I only want about 1/4 cup for some reason. I did Water it down a bit when I first tried it.
  10. I had vsg Dec 5th. I had a total of 55 lbs to lose. I don't regret it. Down 27 lbs. I've always struggled with weight even though I worked out a lot and ate right most of the time. I needed this extra tool. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  11. Mine was 12-5. I used the gas x strips and mine was very tolerable. When I first woke up in had a lot of pressure in my chest but it passed. Good luck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  12. 4 weeks post op today and I am having my first day of wanting to overeat. I just want to graze. I think it is being off for the holiday and it is raining and storming out. I guess it has triggered those days of cooking and eating and being lazy. I am going to get dressed and get out of the house. I will not let this beat me. I just started losing after a long post op stall. Good luck everyone.
  13. Great news! I'm 28 days post op. I have had no complications and I'm down 24 lbs. I enjoy the positive vibes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

  15. 4 weeks post op. Feeling great. I have not started Iron or B 12. I always took a break complex supplement before my vsg. Is iron a common supplement? Your thoughts on either iron or b12 is appreciated. Happy New Year! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  16. 4 weeks post op and I'm having a small cup most days. I think it just depends on your tolerance. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

  18. My vsg was Dec 5. I too was very discouraged with post op weight loss so I have quit weighing for now. Instead I am focusing on walking and eating right. I see my nutritionist on the 12th and am hoping for nice surprise of weight loss. In the meantime I am feeling thinner and clothes are getting bigger. That has to be enough for me right now. 22. 3 weeks post op and I survived the holiday easily enough. I did get in almost 1000 cals on Christmas but I still see that as a win! I avoided sugar and most fats with the exception of a little extra cheese. No bread and no red meat. Had 1 Oz of wine with dinner. How about you? 24. I am 17 days post op. I can sleep on my stomach comfortably now. It took about 5-6 days before I could sleep on my side with a pillow and lean into my stomach a bit. The more I walked, the quicker I seemed to heal. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App
  25. I am 17 days post op. It does get better. Hang in there. Let you body heal and do the very best you can. Make sure you are walking. I'm amazed but that seems to be the key to every thing!
