B 12 and iron

4 weeks post op. Feeling great. I have not started Iron or B 12. I always took a break complex supplement before my vsg. Is iron a common supplement?

Your thoughts on either iron or b12 is appreciated.

Happy New Year!

My surgeon said to only take iron if needed. B12 is on his list to take after surgery along with a bcomplex. Recent bloodwork for me showed I could cut back on b12 and don't need iron still. And, I do think the b12 helped me get my strength back after surgery.

Congrats on the surgery and glad you are feeling good.
