Craving pickles?

I am 32 days out and I really want to eat pickles. Dill pickles are all I can think about. Is this normal? I don't think I can have raw veggies until ten weeks from now. ????

I am not even hungry per se, I just miss the taste. I hope I get over these cravings for foods I can't have.

Your body is probably low on salt and is craving it. Try having some broth made from dehydrated Soup base.

I think craving salty things is normal when you are on a low carb diet. On low carb diets, we lose a lot of salt so I believe it's recommended to have a higher amount of salt intake. I eat pickles all the time but not until I was cleared for all foods (week 5 in my program)... But yeah, I'd say it's normal. ^^

I wanted them too!! I can't remember how far out from surgery I was...probably about the same? I would take a slice of ham, cut it into a strip, put a little low fat cream cheese on it, then take a pickle spear (cut the skin off) and roll it up in the ham. I felt like I was pregnant again but it was so good...lol

I craved them too... and tried one after about 10 weeks.

Gawd, never again. Onions, gerkins, spring onions... like fried food just doesnt sit well with me anymore.

Perhaps sip some of the picks juice to satisfy your craving without actually eating the pickle?
