Meggers0385 reacted to Renea Glover in MY EX TRIED TO TEAR ME DOWN
Hello everyone, Warning beware of jealous people in your life. So my now ex but also my daughters father has as I feel always tried to sabotage me. I gained close to 100 pounds in the last 6 years since I've been with him had a baby got super comfortable and let myself go. Well since my surgery and before he was never with my lifestyle change he would bring fast food and candy into the house, he didn't work out with me on a regular basis (and mind u he is athletic and a boxer) there was no genuine encouragement nor support. He was and is a serial cheater. He told a girl he cheated on me with about me getting the surgery before i even had it and just recently told another woman i believed to be a friend but he was sleeping with her too that I had the surgery and now I think i'm better than ppl and they laughed about how I'm still big and my body gone be a mess (I seen the messages) the disrespect is at an all time high. Bottom line is I am better than what they obviously thought of me. This change has been the best thing that has ever happened to me, I'm happy about life again, I see the changes in me mentally, spiritually, and physically. I'm looking forward to the future and learning not to settle or accept anything I'm discovering my worth and now I'm glad I can close that chapter in my life and looking forward to my journey and finding someone new that sees the Goddess in me
down 83 lbs and not stopping

I am 3 months out and went through the same moment of why did I do this to myself. Now I am down 40lbs in 3 months where before took me 1 year to lose the same amount of weight. So I really have no regrets I feel so much better have so much more energy and I know that this tool is saving me. I would say that everyone does this for a different reasons but if you do not have the motivation to continue the journey without surgery much like myself and many others on here this surgery will definitely work for you. For me it is because I finally see progress in an area that I have struggled with for so long and without the surgery I would just give up. So I urge you to explore your motivation to being healthy and having a better relationship with food. That means not thinking about food in terms of taste but nourishment, and thinking of exercise in terms of body definition instead of lbs lost on the scale. This surgery is not the answer but it is the tool to change your way of thinking. I hope you are blessed on your journey to a better you.

Haven't been on this app since a few weeks after my surgery (4/19/16)! I am officially 100 lbs lighter and off all meds... Forever thankful I had the courage to take care of myself! Take care and let's make 2017 ours! To better health!

I'm 41 (pushing 42) and I needed to lose at least 100 lbs. I've lost 90 in 8 months. It's the best gift I EVER gave myself. I don't regret the surgery or the power it has given me to control what I eat. I have my life back.

A bit off topic but so far, my least favorite question post-op is "do u feel better?". I know they mean well and although I was 326 pounds, I felt and functioned just fine so 70 pounds down I kind of feel the same. I mean getting up off the floor is a little easier but otherwise I sort of feel the same....

"But you're so young! You could have just exercised and ate less..." Yes because I should have waited another 10, 20, 30 years of unhappiness and hating life until I decided to make a change... of course! Exercise and eat less, well holy hell there's a new concept I NEVER tried before!
