I Want My Band Removed Now!!!!!
WestCoastGuy...... Wow! I hardly even know what to say... Your post was so profoundly true & dead on, that it brought tears to my eyes. I am scheduled to have surgery in less than a month & have been good and then very bad all in the same day just from nervousness. And the Dr has a policy that if you are any heavier, even an ounce heavier on the day of your surgery, then he won't touch you. And that is daunting too. But your post rang such a chord that I will not gain any weight before this surgery, I will stay committed to this pre surgery diet, I will start walking everyday (like I should have been doing already) I will make this work! Thank You & HUGS from Florida  !

Re-Coop Time
Nikki, thats so nice of you! However, I am in Florida so I think with gas prices I would be better to buy one...LOL Good to know about the stairs, my daughter will be relieved! She is stressing about what to do & how she will know I am ok. Apparently she thinks I will be out of it & unable to speak...LOL
-
Re-Coop Time
Thanks for mentioning the recliner, Nikki. I was wondering how you sleep after you get home. Lord knows I have a hard enough time sitting up & getting out of the bed now, much less after surgery...LOL Maybe I will call one of those furniture rental places & rent a recliner for a week or so... LOL of course I may not want to get rid of it afterwards either..LOL How is everyone with stairs? I am in a townhouse and its just my teenage daughter & I, so I don't want to stress her out.. Thanks everyone!

Jax, FL Poll - Which day is best?
Karen, I would love to come to a meeting! I have yet to be able to attend any support meetings, because of my work schedule. My schedule at work is Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat 8am-7pm, I work on Gate Parkway so a location near 295/95 would be great. Someone mentioned 7 or 8 at night & that would be perfect on the days I work & and my days off are open for whatever time.

Re-Coop Time
I would like to know this answer myself.. I am worried about re-coop time too. I work in a call center so I am tied to a headset for my entire 8am-7pm shift & we have 2 scheduled 15 minute breaks & one hour for lunch... no exceptions. So, I am curious how hard others would think it would be to stick to a schedule like that right after surgery. Plus we can take upto 10 weeks of paid medical leave, but I can't just come and go if I don't feel good one day. :sneaky:
