I’ve found that popcorn is a MAJOR slider food for me, so I have to be very very careful with it. I can eat a ridiculous amount of it before I feel any restriction if I end up feeling any at all.

I didn't think about menopause. Maybe I need to talk to my doctor about getting checked for that. I haven't had any symptoms that I know of. Thanks for the suggestions!

It's called Premier Protein shakes & you can get them at a lot of places Walgreens etc. but costco has the best price. They have a bunch of flavors to.

    Hi all,
It's been a while since I've posted.. I can't believe it, my hunger has come back with a vengeance all of a sudden!
I was a miracle case really, I started this journey at 260 and within 5/6 months I'd lost 100 pounds and was at goal of 160. But now.. I've started to gain (only 3 pounds) but it's gaining none the less.
People say your tastebuds change after surgery, mine have stayed exactly the same. I can tolerate bread, Pasta, rice, fizzy drinks etc. In fact.. everything that's bad for me goes down pretty easy, it's things like Protein that I struggle with.
Is there a way to reset my sleeve and start over? I miss that feeling of never thinking about food.. I'm back to waking up in the morning and instantly wondering what's for Breakfast.< /p>
    Help!

Just got home from the hospital! Still feeling pretty darn well, just a bit sore! I am still in awe over how well this whole thing has gone! I'm also attaching some pics to show my progress. The first is from right before my gastric sleeve when I was 262 lbs. second was from the morning of LBL and liposuction surgery at 169 lbs. Third is 2 days post op. Haven't weighed myself since surgery, and I'm still definitely swollen, but feel terrific

I'm sitting here at 4:45 am on post op day 2. I had a circumferential body lift, and liposuction to my thighs. Everything went really well. I came out of surgery feeling great. Minimal pain. The surgery took about 6.5 hours. I've stayed in the hospital 2 nights, and the nurses and staff here have been amazing! I'm at Rose hospital in Denver Colorado. I've been taking Valium every 6 hours for muscle pain, and 2 Percocet every 4-6 hours for pain, they help a lot. When resting, I feel pretty darn good. Getting up and moving is a bit awkward and painful, but is doesn't last long. It is MUCH easier to get up from a chair than a bed. I slept like a baby last night, didn't need any meds, but when I work up this morning I was really stiff, and had a hard time rolling out of the bed. I took a walk down the hall for some coffee, took some pain meds, and am now sitting in the chair and feel good.
Most of the pain or discomfort I have is in my upper abs. Feels like I did 800,000,00 sit ups, lol. There is one little spot on my incision that burns if I move just right, but goes away quickly when I correct. My back incision hasn't given me any trouble, and that was the one I was Moat worried about!
I got a very brief look at my tummy as they checked my incision yesterday, and almost started crying. My stomach is flat. No longer flabby with the fold in the middle leadin to my perpetual muffin top. My belly button is currently covered, but everything looks beautiful. I have three drains in that exit at my pubis area. They are quite the site, and make it a little awkward when using the restroom, but very manageable!
So far the Lipo to my thighs has been fine. Mostly when I sit on the toilet I feel like I've been kicked in the behind by a horse, lol!
Well, I think that's it for now. My dream is finally coming true, and I couldn't be more happy! I'll keep you all posted on my recovery and progress!
Oh yeah...Dr. Folk removed about 7 lbs of skin and fat, and 3 liters of fat from my thighs during lipo! . Amazing!!
    Stats:
    Highest Wright ever 285lb
    Weight at sleeve (July 28 2014) 262
    Preop plastics weight: 169
Hope you all have a GREAT day!

I had the same exact this and feelings! I did everything you did because I didn't want to feel regrets. Got home after surgery and was regretting it big time! Apparently this is completely normal! It does go away. It went away for me when I started seeing weight loss and started feeling better. My diabetes is gone! My clothes are smaller. I'm exercising. It's not all perfect, but so much better than before surgery. The post-op diet will go by. You will go through the food phases quickly. The first time you get scrambled eggs, you'll feel excited. Why? Because you've reached another level of progress and it's like a reward! Look at each new step as exactly that...a step toward progress and a reward to a new life! I promise you that the feeling of regret did pass for me and should for you too. I know it's hard, but hang in there!

Omg! Thank you all for the support you have given! I thought it was only me feeling this way. I am 10 days post op and feeling like this. I'm praying for the days to go by faster every minute. Your words have given me the motivation to keep going!
    Thanks again!

I appreciate the kind words of encouragement. I’ve lost about 15 lbs since surgery (and nearly 60 total since the beginning of November). I decided to take my wife to dinner this evening. I had about 4 ozs of Soup and feel about 1000% better about life. It was so nice just feeling “normal” again.

I am still pre-op and the same thoughts that you are having are clouding my head. I am even doubting my decision to go with Gastric Bypass. I am thinking I should go with the Gastric Sleeve despite my care team thinking otherwise. Hell, I don't know who to believe at this point. I haven't spent one day in the past 6 months not thinking about the process and trying to make as informed a decision as possible. Yeah, the mood swings suck - I am going from hopeful to despair and everything in between. The folks that have gone through this before say it can and does get better. That's what's keeping me Marching forward. They got to be knowledgeable by walking the same mile we are right now.

First time poster, long time lurker. I was recently sleeved (2/22) and by all accounts my procedure went well. I would argue that I could not had been more prepared for my surgery. I had attended every seminar and group meeting avail. I had spent tens of hours researching the surgery and recovery process. I made major lifestyle changes to my diet and exercise regime (losing 10% of my bodyweight before the procedure. I have the complete support of my family and no issues regarding my time off from work. I was 100% ready. Everything was lined up for a success. Yet here I am, full of self doubt and regret. Like most I have very little, if any hunger. What I have a ton of though is bitterness. Mad about what feels like an overly cautious diet (5 weeks of post op liquids and purée) and resentment/depression knowing my body probably couldn’t handle anything else otherwise. Hate the mood swings. My preop success makes me continually question my decision (which I expected......but doesn’t make it any easier). I was so prepared and informed, I think that’s what makes it seem worse.
Warmer weather can’t get here soon enough.......yeeeeeeeeesh.

Get back on the Vitamins, up your Protein. Stress of any kind can cause Hair loss. Moving and new jobs are up on the list of life stressors. Also, if you are starting to have peri-menopausal symptoms it may be slower for the hair to come back or may come back in a different texture.

There has definitely been a lot of stress! You're not wrong there. I think I've been eating more because of it too. I've always been a stress/emotional eater. Thank you for the advice. I didn't even think about my stress levels until you said that!

Not me, but I'd suggest changing up your lifestyle a bit (diet, exercise, etc). Seems the stress of moving/jobs is what stalled your scale weight, I'm assuming. Stress is a huge contributor to weight gain. Do you best to not worry, find some peace and rest hon.
